Complaint Review: Le Petit Papillon Montessori School - Miami Beach FL - Miami Beach Florida

Le Petit Papillon Montessori School advertises itself as this perfect school with pools, animals and an ideal environment for your children... That might be the case on the outside and perhaps for other parents, it clearly wasn't the case for our family... 

Le Petit Papillon Montessori School hires teachers who are in their 20's with little or no experience, these teachers are not even accredited/certified although I myself did not verify this information and strictly pointing out that this information was seen on other websites. 

Teachers are not allowed to have any communication with parents. We first learned it at our parents/teacher conference where we couldn't ask any questions and our meeting lasted no more than 5 minutes. Everything must go through their abusive owner/director Ms. Damarys who rules the school with an iron fist! Parents are horrified of her and staff avoids having an eye contact with Ms. Damarys. Although prior to accepting $16,000 from us, Ms. Damarys was an angel who was sent by academical gods... After our money was taken neither one of us was longer relevant to Le Petit Papillon Montessori School. 

Our son was 4 years old when he started attending Le Petit Papillon Montessori School in September of 2017. Within 2 months at our Parents/Teacher conference, our son's teacher told us that he has behavior issues and tends to not listen to the teachers or the staff. Our son attended pre-K prior year in NYC and got along just fine for the entire school year. But for $16,000 Le Petit Papillon Montessori School expects all kids to sit still, be quiet and not move a muscle because I guess it's easier for the teachers to go about their day. Education wise we did not see a huge progress so we were not impressed with the Le Petit Papillon Montessori education process, to say the least.. 

3-4 month into the school year we got a phone call from Ms. Damarys who asked us to pick up our son from school for bad behavior and practically forced us to take our son to see a professional psychiatrist which she happen to recommend by claiming that our son got major issues. Well, $3500 and 3 days of psychiatrist evaluation the therapist gave a 60-page report that there was nothing wrong with our son and that the only thing she would recommend is a speech therapist and that he is a normal 5-year-old child. 

After wasting $16,000 on this so-called Le Petit Papillon Montessori school and the $3500 on a psychiatrist that we did not need, we simply had enough and pulled our son away from Le Petit Papillon Montessori nightmare and now filing a lawsuit against this institution. We also have been in direct contact with the board of education and will post updates as they become available.
