Leagle.com carelessly, purposely and remorslessly violates people's constitutional right to privacy by reporting ALL legal cases on the internet regardless of whether they are sealed or not. A few years ago I was involved in a very contentious legal case which contained multiple violations of personal privacy. At the time the case was sealed and I had an order to take it off the internet with all the companies that had it on the internet at the time. I tried to contact Leagle.com to have them remove it, but got no response after emailing them at their "contact" email address (they have no phone number online), but I got no response even after over 20 tries. I finally tried to find their address from somewhere else on the web and wrote to them by regular mail and included the order to take it off the internet... but still no response. I finally got another email address for someone at the company and emailed him. He was VERY rude and refused to take the case off the internet. I contacted the Better Business Bureau to see if they could help, but Leagle.com refused to listen to even the BBB. Leagle.com is ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. Their attitude about people's personal privacy is horrendously careless and flippant and their business should be stopped!

I take umbrage at someone assuming that I am somehow a disgruntled "competitor" and that my complaints are fabricated. I am a real person and have been sorely damaged by the carelessness of Leagle.com. Leagle.com DOES NOT RESPOND TO ANY REQUESTS TO REMOVE SENSITIVE OR CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION/CASES from online. I cannot say how many times I have written to Leagle.com on their website through their supposed "CONTACT" email, never to have any of my emails returned (they have no phone number). I cannot get in touch with a Mr. Johnson (if this is truly his real name), and if the writer of this review has been able to get in touch with him personally by phone or by email, I encourage him/her to publish it here online on Ripoff Report so that others who have been damaged by the publication of confidential and private information may contact him. That's the challenge.

The reviews regarding Leagle are all fabricated by competitors. I had an issue that was the result of a court inadvertently publishing an opinion incorrectly. While the court made corrections thereafter, the opinion remained uncorrected on third-party sites. Upon contacting Leagle, I was immediately contacted by Mr. Johnson. He was friendly and super helpful. He resolved the matter for me and I'd highly recommend Leagle for any research and marketing needs!

I have tried to contact Leagle.com countless times over a period of years as well as contacting [email protected] and djohn855@swbell, as noted in the above rebuttal, numerous times without receiving any response. Leagle.com is unreachable and unresponsive to the many, many complaints made against it.
Leagle.com ignores the fact that cases have been sealed, ignores orders to remove cases from his internet company, and could possibly be taking large sums of money from individuals for removing such cases from the internet. If this is happening, then this company and its owner are committing the crime of extortion, violating US citizens' Constitutional right to privacy, participating in illegal trade practices and more.
Leagle.com does not appear to be incorporated anywhere in the United States so cannot be sued. The company cannot or will not respond to complaints and requests to remove or anonymize private information from its database.
LEAGLE.COM -- COME OUT OF THE SHADOWS OF THE INTERNET and start acting like the responsible company that you claim you are ... deal with the numerous complaints against your company like other reputable and legitimate internet companies do. We do not accept and will not tolerate your anonymity and refusal to recognize the privacy rights of US citizens.

In order for us to put a stop against leagle.com aka leagle,Inc. aka LEAGLE what we need to do is either individually sue the Domain company Networksolutions LLC and the Hosting Company Softlayer.com, which is located in Dallas, Texas. Filing a lawsuit against the Domain Company Networksolutions LLC and the Hosting Company Softlayer.com will put a freeze on leagle.com's accounts. This means that the lawsuits will go to the legal departments of Networksolutions LLC and Softlayer.com and the owner of leagle.com will not be able to continue post any personal information on people from a remote location. The owner of leagle.com will have to call in personally and identify himself every time he wants to make any changes to his website leagle.com. We will shut leagle.com down by filing lawsuits against him. You can do it yourself. Initiating the lawsuit agains leagle.com's Domain Company Networksolutions LLC and his Hosting Company Softlayer.com will initiate a slowdown and eventual shutdown of leagle.com
