LEASE FINANC GROUP, Continues billing me, even, after termination of lease Chicago Illinois
I had entered into a five year non-cancellation contract with LEASE FINANCE GROUP, LLC on January 23,2002. On September 6, 2006, the Business that I owned (Bisbee Grand Hotel) closed escrow and I telephoned the LEASE company to advise of the sale of the BGH and to close my account.
I had paid current through September of 2006. I was surprised to receive a billing for October, followed up by another accumulated invoice in November and then once again in December.
I telephoned them in December and was told that they had NO record of me having telephoned them and furthermore, that I was legally bound to the terms of my contract regardless of having SOLD the business. They even claimed of NOT having received the merchant credit card machine which I do not understand because I had RETURNED it to the manager of Bank of America who forwarded it to them.
I am still receiving monthly accumulation of bills from them even though I am not using their machine and that their equipment was returned.
ALSO, the terms of my original lease expired in January of 07 and they are adding monthly charges to my account through May of 07.
I sent them a registered letter, dated February 11, 2007 with a return receipt, of which, they signed for having received requesting termination, however, the billing keep accumulating.
I feel it is CRIMINAL to CHARGE a customer for continued use of a merchant credit card account when the business was sold and the account was requested to have been closed and especially when the company's sales representative had informed me that his company would HONOR a CLOSING of my business.
