LFG obtained the account through fraudulent and unacceptable means.

On December 21, 2006, Merchant Processing Incorporated (MPI) sales representative, Caron Bracy, came to my shop to solicit my business. He was selling credit card processing services at wholesale rates. As a small business owner I am always interested in saving money, so I listened to what he had to say. He told me that for programming reasons and in order to receive their wholesale rates, I would be required to lease the processing equipment. Purchasing the equipment was not an option. That was the first lie that he told me. I'm not a computer expert, so how was I supposed to know? Caron went on to say that the Lease Capital Group (LCG) would handle the lease. The Lease Finance Group (LFG) was never mentioned. That was the second lie that I was told. I, in good faith and trusting what I was being told was true, signed on.

The third lie came when I was told that we would be getting brand new equipment. However, it didn't take long to realize that the equipment had been used before. Most of the buttons on the pin pad were sticky and people had a hard time using it.

When I later found out that LFG was the actual holder of the lease, I felt completely scammed. This is a clear case of fraudulent misrepresentation. Had I been told that LFG would be the leasing company, I never would have signed on. I have already had an unpleasant experience with LFG and the "non-cancelable" lease program.

Of course, when I came to www.ripoffreport.com, I found many reports filed against LFG that reflected the same experience as my own. I have since come to learn that reports have also been filed with the Illinois Attorney General's office. The story is always the same. Sales people misrepresenting themselves and the companies they work for in order to trap people into unreasonable contracts.

LFG's business practices are fraudulent and unacceptable. I will not continue to do business with the company. I've returned the equipment in the same condition in which it was received. I have closed my bank account so that they can't get anymore of my money. And I have filed complaints with the Illinois State Attorney General's Office, the Florida State Attorney General's Office and the Florida State Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Hopefully, I'll receive a satisfactory outcome.

I'm sorry that you're going through this as well. I was also decieved and mislead by a credit card processing company which NEVER EVEN MENTIONED LFG or leasing the machine or anything. In fact, the rep. of NPMG, Diana Moya, stated that the fee we were paying was an "upgrade fee" and that we could cancel with no penalties at ANY TIME. Only AFTER I received a letter from LFG did I realize that I had been duped into a contract with LFG for $99.00 per month for 60 months! RIDICULOUS. Anyhow, I did what you did, closed my bank accnts, and called and called both companies and they were (AS EXPECTED) resistent, unprofessional and rude. After sending letters and filing complaints to a multitude of organizations such as BBBs of AZ and IL, Attorney General's for both states and the FTC...only the AG of IL was able to pressure LFG into cancelling our lease. I can't believe these companies are allowed to continue their deceptive unethical practices. The US government needs to set up and start FINING or shutting these companies down.
