My husband and I purchased our new home last year from Legacy Communities. We have had so many problems and we haven't even been in our new home a year yet. The first thing we endured was a leaky roof and ceiling. They had to come out twice to repair it. The second thing is very poor insulation. We had someone come out and he informed me that there was nothing wrong with the insulation and that this was normal. How can poor insulation be normal? In the winter it is very cold and in the summer it seems like the AC is not working at times. The third thing is the weather stripping is coming up from the back door. The fourth thing is the electrical outlets are very poor quality, the outlet in the kitchen is shaky and the one in our master bedroom works when it wants to. Another major thing that is poor is the caulking in the bathrooms and windows. How could they be serious with the building of these homes?? I would have never thought that a home this beautiful would have that many poor amenities. My concrete back porch is also cracking very badly. The trees that we have in our yard were dead and very poor looking. We contacted Legacy almost every other month with  a warranty issue and they would sometimes give us the run around with getting someone out to repair the problems. Another problem that we are still having is the kitchen cabinets. Someone was out here before and replaced them with new ones because he informed me that the ones we had were from another company and they were not good quality cabinets. When he replaced them with new ones, we are still having the same problems!! The cabinets are coming off of the hinges again!! Legacy needs to uphold to their promises and commitment to excellent customer service and the best builder. I am really unhappy with my new home right now. It is very beautiful, but there is some work that needs to be corrected. Sometimes I don;t even bother to call them because you never get a call back or response half of the time and when you do the person who is suppose to come out, call you three to four times to reschedule. I submitted my 2month warranty inspection and they informed me that they were behind on warranty issues. When I resubmitted it a month later, they told me that I was too late, when in actuality I was on time the first time when they told me they were behind. Another BIG ISSUE that I have are the vacant lots that are eyesores. Why would they build homes from the back up and leave the front entrance unbuilt?? It doesn't make sense. Everytime you come into the subdivision you see nothing but high weeds and trees growing up in the vacant lots. This is unacceptable!! Something needs to be done about this company ASAP!!
