Lens Team Design Nation 360 New name/web site for old bait and switch scam Internet
I ordered a Canon 70-200 L lens from Lens Team from this web site http://www.lensteam.com/. They said they could not take a credit card but would send it COD and requested a cashiers check or MO for $1295.00 made out to Design Nation 36 zero.
The box arrived by UPS as promised. I requested permission to inspect the contents before giving the check. The UPS driver refused and said that I would have to give him the check before I could open it.
Of course I refused and the UPS took the package back. After further research I found no other reference to a company called Lens Team and that their website was put up in January 2012. Googling Design Nation 360 yielded many victims of a bait and switch scam. I consider myself lucky and am posting this to help any other potential victims.
