Went to Les Schwab to have tires rotated and a slow leak repaired. I was told that my tires were bald and they would not rotate or repair. It is true that the rear tires  at a tread depth of 3/32 are not legal as a m/s tire in Nevada. However the two front tires have a tread depth of between 9/32 max to 6/32 min. The 6/32 is on the first inner tread. A slight feather edge do to the truck being a 4x4.

Nevada law requires 3/16 or 6/32 depth. Will Mellum flat out refused to repair a slow leak in one of the front tires saying that "it is bald". It is not bald by Nevada law!!! There is no way that this tire is bald by law or any other measure. Will Mellum said in writing that "Recommend 4 tires cannot repair tire".

This is just a BS trick to try to force me into buying 4 new tires not going to happen! I have been a customer for approx. 10 years a spent 1,000 of dollars in that store. So much for customer service. I will never go to another Les Schwab nor will my wife or two children loss of 4 cars worth of tires. Way to go Les Slob!!!

I will be sending my complaint to corporate with Will Mellum name and a scan of his business card front and back!!

For your information they wanted to sell me four new tires. The 2 front tires were legal.

if fact sir the tread depth was 7/32" the inside edge which was the shallowest was 3/16". So why did he put it in writting that they were "BALD"??? and refuse to work on a nail puntcher...Please have facts before you go off on someone. Fact the BOY lied.Period. End of subject...No more talking...Good bye

I hope you have re-read this report at some point and realize how ridiculous it sounds. Obviously the entire tread depth wasn't the same. Were the outside edges the same depth as the center or vice versa? Seems like a very low margin for legal-illegal so why would the tire guy take the chance of it blowing up in his face to fix it? Have you ever had a tire blow up in your face with 40+ pounds of air in it? Most likely he was following company protocal. Your report doesn't make any sense. I could imagine feeling as though they are trying to rip you off or get you to buy new tires if there was actually significant tread left on the tires, but come on really? Listen to yourself. BUY SOME NEW TIRES THAT ACTUALLY HAVE TREAD ON THEM! What did you want him to do add more tread? Les Schwab tire guys aren't magicians. You are only risking your life and your families when a tire blows out at freeway speed and you loose control of your vehicle. Maybe even injurying others.
