We recently purchased 2 brand-new Toyo truck tires from the Les Schwab tires center in Weiser, ID. We have never had a problem with their tires until now. We had around 500 miles on the tires and they have both blown out already.

The first tire blew out as he was driving down the freeway and exploded into a million little pieces as sometimes tires tend to do. He spent the rest of that day locating a Les Schwab and purchasing a new tire and just counted the tire as his loss. Then, on the way home, the other tire that we purchased at the same as the first one that blew out decided that it needed to blow out also, and nothing had been hit to cause the blow out. So, my husband slowly drove the truck to a location that he could remove the tire.

He parked the truck and took the damaged tire back the the Les Schwab in Weiser to show them the damage to see if they would warranty the tire. They took one look at the tire and said that he had to have hit something to cause the damage and that they would do nothing to replace it. My huband argued with them and told them that nothing was hit, he was driving down the freeway and it just blew out.

They told us that the tire would have to be sent off to be checked and they would get back to us. We got another tire and left to go home.

Today they called us and told us that they weren't sending the tire off because it looked to them that we hit something with the tire that caused it to blow. Nothing was ever hit. The tire blew out the face and cracked up the side walls. Nothing was done on our part to cause damage, unless it is wrong to drive on their tires.

We understand that sometimes things like this happen, and we're not complaining about having to buy the first tire, but when both the tires went, it was just nonsense. All we were asking from them is that they acknowledge there could be a problem, back their product and replace at least one of the tires. But, I guess that if a company can not back its product, then it is time to move on to another company.

I contacted Les Schwab today and they said that they were willing to help us out by warrantying one of the tires. We bought the one tire, and they gave us the other. Everything worked out okay. They said that they were sorry and really did't want to lose our business.
