Leslie Hardin Swindled by a socalled friend, ripoff Balch Spring Texas
I am stupid and I admit it. Now I need an attorney! Leslie Hardin talked me into going half on a 2000 Ford Truck 350 Long bed. I accepted the oral agreement and I paid her 500 a month until my half of the truck was paid for, i.e. totally my half as $4500.
A year ago she married a bigomist. He decided he wanted the truck for his sons. He would not buy me out. The email back and forth lingered on for a year. Then on December 20th, 2006, I recive an email. "I sold the truck for $$3,000 and your half is $1500." I never agreed to that sale!
I was suppose to have my name on the title after paying my part. It was never put on the title. She even took a loan out on the truck and I had no say in that. And when she sold it, I had no say. I think she took about $3,000 under the table for the truck but I can't prove that.
I need help and I need a lawyer. And I fully admit I was stupid to get into that kind of a predicament. I felt sorry for her when she ot fired from her RN job and I continued to pay $500 a month so she could have food on the table.
By the way, I only drove the truck 6 times. She was going to leave it at my house. I did not demand this, but that lasted 3 days. She and her bigomist husband came and got the truck without my knowing about it. I felt bad.
When I made my last payment, Leslie made the remark,(February 2006) "John wants to take the truck for his sons." I said, "He need to buy me out. He wouldn't agree to anything and this drug on until this December. Then she sells the truck. Please help!
