On 4/14/06 I get a phone call. They said for 99.00 I could get unlimited negative items disputed. I knew I only had one, but asked them if I could purchase this for someone else, and they did say "yes". After analyzing my friend's credit, I decided credit couseling would be better for him.

I cancelled the service but couldn't dispute the charge until the 19th of April, when it finally posted. Compass Bank had a real hard time with that one. And no, there was no issue with overdraft fees. It was just like they tried as hard as they could not to understand after I faxed over a confirmation from Lexington law dated April 20, 2006, and gave them names of people I spoke to and even offered the name of the supervisor.

I also strongly suspect they should be investigated, because it is highly possible they hire people who are salespeople, depicting themselves as paralegals, when in fact, they are not. I do not know that to be fact, it is just a strong impression I get when speaking to them.

I used to work as an affiliate to Lexington. I will admit they got a good business model, and the people i worked with were always honest and forthcoming. I think the issue here is they have processes in place to protect their customers and themselves from the devious tactics of credit sharks. It sounds like to me that the process worked against the consumer. I'll admit I hear these sorts of claims more than i'd like, being an affiliate - but unfortunately i think anything related to credit cards, reports and money in general, there are sharks and unfortunate casualties - I think the interior of the company is not rotten at the core, I BELIEVE IF you find someone above the process -- like a supervisor or up- there are better solutions.
