Contacted the company since I was and am in debt to help with my creditors to hopefully reduce my debt. Thank god I canceled them within 6 months because I was still being contacted by creditors and who informed they were never contacted by this company to settle any of my debt. So I was making monthly payments to Liberty Debt Management besides dealing and paying my creditors to stay away from legal action against me.

I was also summoned once by my loan company to go to court, in which I had to pay $300 to my creditor in addition to paying Liberty Debt Management a monthly fee because I was told by this company to not pay the creditor any longer until the creditor did something. Even when the creditor did something they (liberty Debt) didn't do a thing.

It was always hard to get in contact with them and when I canceled and asked for some money back, particularly $400 out of the $525 I paid them, they said no even though they did nothing and I was dissatisfied with their service.

So now I am morre in debt then I was before when I was just handling my creditors on my own. They are ripoff and liars to what they make think they do. Basically I wasted $525 on these people and all they do is collect money from people and do nothing do settle people's debt. I am still fighting with them to get my money back.

Helpful hints on getting your money back

We were in the same situation with another debt company. We gave them four hundred dollars and cancelled with them and they refused to give our money back also, our company even resorted to calling me foul names. What we did and we ended up getting all of our money back in the end was to contact the attorney general of Texas, usually they will advise you to write a complaint to the attorney general of whatever state you live in and then the states will work together to get your money back, usually this doesn't take very long because the attorney general has the power to close the business down and most companies will gladly refund your money once they find out the A.G.'s office has been contacted. Now before you do that, you can contact your bank, I am assuming that this company is just like the one that we dealt with and they required that the montly payment be automatically withdrawn from your account. File a fraud case with your bank and request that the bank refund the money into your account. Many banks know that these companies are scams and will refund all money that was taken, if you do this make sure that you put on the paper that this company scammed you out of money and is a fraud. I wish you the best of luck, it is so sad that companies like these are out there preying on deseperate people.
