when you move out of state and sell your house and reinsure your car in another state they send you into collections and royally screw with your credit.. I soldl my house in massachusetts in Feb.. it is not october 2006 and I am still in collections for a NEW policy that they would not let me cancel for some reason.. My house was sold the insurace was up to date and they still decided that I needed a renewed policy on a house that was not in my name and I lived is a different state in a dofferent house that was insured by a differnt insurance company... SAME deal with my car insurance..

Bunch of ***** a**holes...

I am going for a new mortgage on monday and now these wankers have this **** on my what was perfect credit report.. 2 collection notices sent in on freaking insurance policies that they felt I needed on a house I didnt own and a car that was insured under another company... HOW DO THEY FIGURE THAT IS LEGAL.... BIG CORPORATE COMPANIES SUCK a*s.. This is why I continue to support small business owners.

Did you return your plates to the Massachutes RMV and then turn the receipt over to Liberty Mutual? I see on the RMV website that you must do this so they probably have a similar requirement to NY. In NYS, you must turn your plates into the DMV and then turn the receipt into your insurance company. If you do not, they cannot cancel your insurance. If in turn, they then cancel your insurance due to non-payment, you will owe the state a fine of $8.00 per day for all the days you still had the plates but no insurance. I'm not sure how MA handles it but I do see that it does require you to hand in your plates and give the receipt to the insurance company.
