Liberman's Gallery says they are a wholesaler/dropshipper, but they are not a true wholesaler. After I signed a contract with them and paid them $400 I found out the truth. The products they were willing to sell me at wholesale prices turned out to be not so. They were going to charge me Retail prices for the products. I managed to get them to cancel the Contract, and felt lucky that I had only lost $400. They are a large company, and I am only a small fish, and I think they should have offered me my money back.

How about TapestryBiz.com or The Bay Lady. I have all my emails that I sent to Courtney Burke, in fact, here is one between me and Courtney and I that I sent on July 25, 2007, and below that, one I sent to WorldWide Brands on July 28, 2007. Courtney, When you say you are giving a flat 50% off the retail prices that appear in the DB, how does that effect the items that appear at 1/3 the retail cost? Because, when you do include the wholesale price (the price I am charged) and the suggested retail price, my price is only 1/3 of the retail price. For instance, when you quote me $80 on a product, you suggest the retail price to be $240. PLEASE CONFIRM. See, I can only sell that item that costs me $80, at $130, to be competitive in the marketplace. But you are now telling me, that if you did not quote me the $80 price, my price would be 1/2 of the $240 retail price, which would then be $120.00, for a profit of $10.00. Not one of my direct competitors is selling tapestries at more than double the wholesale price. Most people's profit margin is between $30 - $50 on the lower cost products, and maybe up to $100 on wholesale products that cost over $125.00 For instance AllPosters sells the 'Abstract Autumn' 35"x35" for $199.00 The average selling price from my direct competitors for this exact item is: $89.99 That would be: CindysThrows.com Americanafghans.com Afghans2000.com The same thing with the 'Lodge" series, no one else is charging over $50.00, and AllPosters is charging $94.00 And the 'Cat' themed tapestries such as 'Federick the LIterate' Mable...'; Maggie...' are priced at around $46.00; whereas AllPosters is selling the same item for $94.00 Another example - on the LInkbase spreadsheet, you quote me a retail price of a "lodge" tapestry at $75.90. That would mean my cost would be $38.00 I can only sell it for $46.00. So basically, I am getting screwed here. I have been doing price comparisions for three months, practically on a daily basis. Is there any way I can cancel our contract? I am not yet published to the internet. I know the contract says that if Lieberman's has not received an order from Client (me) within six months of the beginning of ther term of this contract, Lieberman's may terminate this contract by 30 days written notice. Courtney Burke wrote: Dear Roxie, Regarding the tapestries, we are in fact giving a straight 50% off the retail prices that appear in the DB. These retail prices are made up so that they are competitive with Allposters etc. PCWs own price list offers only wholesale prices, and everyone that retails the stuff is selling them for a lot more than double the wholesale. You may want to do some price comparisons to see what others are selling at. If you have any further questions, please fire away. Thanks, Courtney Burke E-Commerce Manager Lieberman's Gallery, LLP Toll Free: 800-221-1032 x 116 [email protected] Hello WorldWide Brands, I am a user of WorldWide Brands. I need some help, hopefully you guys can help or direct me in the right place. I am trying to get out of a contract with Lieberman's gallery, and I can't get them to return my emails, or phone calls. Here are the details. I signed a contract with Lieberman's Gallery (for two years), after finding them through your website. Thus, I trusted them as a wholesome resource and didn't mind paying the $400 up front fees they charged ($200 set up fee, and another $200 for product feeds annually). My eCommerce business will be selling tapestries and home decor gift products, I have not yet published to the internet. To me, and my business, Lieberman's are not true wholesalers. They seem to be a middleman. I feel they suckered me in, with showing me about half the tapestries they supply, showing a retail and wholesale price. But when I received the actual feed, I found that most of the products did not have a wholesale price, and when I questioned them about what price I would be charged, finally after 2 months, they (Courtney Burke) got back to me and said my price is 1/2 the retail price marked. I am now trying to get out of the contract. I can't afford to use them at their prices. On the products where they do show the retail and wholesale price, the wholesale price is 1/3 of the shown retail price, which is a price I can deal with. After not hearing back from Courtney, I went ahead and sent back via federal express, their CD Rom on Thursday, July 26, along with a Release. Basically I feel that the contact is not in effect yet, as it says "contract will be in effect from the day that I put in my first order". And since I haven't put in an order, nor am I published to the internet, I see not problem with them releasing me from the contract. Perhaps you can contact Dan Lieberman on my behalf. They received my request for release on Friday, July 27, I don't know if Courtney forwarded it to Mr. Lieberman.

We are not sure who Roxie is as there are no records in our system indicating we sold out product database to Roxie. Lieberman's Gallery is the largest wholesale consolidator in the world and has been selling prints and posters at wholesale prices (50% off retail or better) for the past 30 years. We sell to thousands of accounts on a National bases and only sell wholesale - otherwise our customers would purchase directly from the publishers (our suppliers) at wholesale. Our website www.liebermans.net even explicitly states that we only sell to businesses, not consumers. We're not sure why Roxie has the impressioon that we do not sell at wholesale, and welcome any facts that she may have that demonstrates otherwise.
