Lifestyles Success Inc - Magazine Sales Lifestyles Success Inc Human Trafficing for Young Adults Atlanta, Georgia
I was approached in Walmart by two young adult men selling subscriptions to magazines. I immediately knew something was wrong due to the appearance and the desperate selling technique of the young men. After a breif conversation along with several questions, I was able to penetrate further what this company was all about. I handed the boys my business card and told them to call if they were in trouble. I then did some investigating about this company and found several complaints as well as other related companies that use young adults from 18-25 usually with drug and criminal backgrounds to sell thier products. Most of these kids are inticed by making money and traveling only to be dumped off in cities with no way home because they did not meet the sales goals.
This company dumps these kids off in neighborhoods and retail centers on foot, to walk around a push sales of magazines or products for most of the day. They do not pay them a minimum wage only commission. And I have no doubt in my mind that they wages are not to federal regulations.
Within 1 week I was contacted and I was fortunately able to help two of the young men through a church organization, drug rehab and work program. It was very frustrating trying to find local programs and associations to help these kids here in Las Vegas. Las Vegas is a very bad place to be homeless, especially for young adults because they usually wind up in SEX TRAFFICing schemes and then left for dead.
If you happened to be approached by one of these kids, as they travel throughout America, please keep in touch with them, help them by connecting them with local organizations. You can also reach out to the local press and authorities.
If anyone has any connections to the main press such as DATELINE NBC ect.. this would be very helpful as PRESS can create awareness.
