Lillian Vernon Scam - LV Rewards Virginia Beach Virginia
Lillian Vernon is certainly reaching out to their online customers alright, but not in the best interest of her customers anymore. I recently placed an order online on October 20th, of 2008, after completing my transaction I was sent to a promotion page to get $15.00 off my next purchase. As I clicked through the promotion, I quickly realized it was a scam and killed the browser window. Not before Lillian Vernon provided the Encore Marketing Company with my credit card number however! In fact Encore was so quick to charge my credit card that they charged it before Lillian Vernon did.
I did not recognize the first charge for $1.95 from LV Rewards, but let it go figuring I just forgot some small charge. Then when the same company appeared on the next statement for 2 charges of $14.95 each, I new something was up.
I am still disputing the charges with the Encore and trying to get the charges refunded. I can't believe Lillian Verson has stooped so low as to partner with this scam marketing company to fraud their customers. You can bet this is the last time I will place an order with them again.
