This company is a Buying service for Diamonds, Gold, Platinum, and other valuables including watches per their advertising.

They warranted:

1. 85% of Rappaport Diamond Prices Offered on Buys

2. Near Spot Price Offered on Gold

3. 24-hour after arrival Appraiser Call

4. 24-48 Customer Service

5. Special Unique Sales channels - not a conventional melt shop

1. Emails are returned in 13-15 calendar days. Verified on 3 separate occasions.

OFFER #1 0.70 CT I/SI1 Round diamond with Rappaport of $1,400 + 0.33 H/VS2 small stones plus 12 gram of 14KT white gold ring.

$212 USD for the GOLD ITSELF

So 350 - 212 = $138 for a

SOLITATIRE Non Clarity Enhanced - Diamond 0.70 CT I/SI1 Round vg/vg + 0.33 H/VS smaller stones (10) .03 each.

I sent in several other pieces which followed the same results:

DIAMOND VALUES were marketed at closer 5% of Rappaport or perhaps ignored and the items purchased exclusively near gold spot prices.

I sent in 2 other pieces which demonstrated similar events. That is; significantly lesser offer prices than any of the 10 small or larger jewelers or buyers that I have shown the same pieces to.

1 piece was an 18kt Yellow Gold ring dipped in 14 kt white gold. They bid it for under the 14kt spot price. In fact; my math shows it was about half of what the underlying carat corrected weight gold was worth in bullion.

LIPPINCOTT may offer whatever they choose to offer. But it became a waste of my time and theirs and false advertising when they stated 85% OFFERS ON RAPPAPORT Prices and their other statements.

3. THEIR SPECIAL NETWORK

They did not respond when asked what type of pieces would go into their special trade network that was not melt value.

4. USPS Registered Mail tracked my packages into their offices 4 days prior to any call. NOT the 24 HOURS regularly published.

5. They warrant fast return of your items if not satisfied. I asked for my return. About 8 days after rejecting their offer. I called to inquire as to why I did not have my returned goods yet. They then gave me a UPS Ground track number and said it hadn't gone out yet.

6. Total TURN AROUND from the mistake of sending and registred mail out to their location; waiting for their offer; to untimely return shipment; and UPS ground time in transit. You are leaving your leaves out of pocket for approximately 1 MONTH. DO NOT CONSIDER THIS A QUICK EVALUATION METHOD.

7. BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU - They had 88 complaints when I first looked at their profile. I was suspect but it showed attempts to resolve so I gave it a try. TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS ON THESE THINGS PEOPLE.

8. ADDRESSING THEIR DELAYED RESPONSES

When I forwarded their emails back to them showing them that their response was written 15 days after I sent the email. They REPLIED with a mail merge letter assuring me that they always respond in 24 to 48 hours. They REPLY was to tell me that the event that did could see in front of them did not occur.

This complaint is similar to a WARDEN message from an embassy to warn nationals of the risks. This is my WARDEN message to seller of their jewelry. YOUR LOCAL SHOPS probably bid better as in my case and then you do not have to forfeit custody of your jewelry for an indeterminate period of time. DO NOT CONSIDER THEM FOR DIAMONDS AT ALL.

MISREPRESENTATION of:

appraisal policies

response times

their own contract as to insurance

ability to outperform local liquidation

WILL NEVER RECONSIDER THEM.
