Bought a greyhound from breeder ,saw online.After long conversations and informative talks with breeder, we purchased our dog.Breeder said she had "show quality" puppies from Champion blood lines..same sire and dam..4 liters.Said their dogs undergo extensive genetis and breeding testing.
After discovering that our dog has Von Willebrands Disease(like haeophilia), is allergic to virtually every type of food, that he has IBS, that 2 other puppies in his liter died of heart disease, we contacted Emily Franz Davis. We wanted to alert the other 30 owners from all 4 liters of the possible dangers facing their dogs.
If their dog had V.W Disease and they tried to castrate ,the dog could bleed to death. If the owner knew or was informed by MS. David, they could have the dog tested and then a Vet could have the Von Willebrand factor(coagulant drug) present to give the dog which normalizes the clotting time.
Ms. Davis REFUSED to tell ANY of the 30 other dog owners of these medical issues already killing 2 of 8 in our liter and said "it could harm my business and give my competers an edge"...
This was in the first 6 months and all she would do was give us a refund..AND OFFERED TO TAKE BACK OUR PUPPY,KILL HIM AND GIVE US ANOTHER. He is a family member..and over the next couple of months, we kept pleading with her to contact the other owners to at least alert them of the possible horrible genetic and medical issues they could or would be experiencing. This could SAVE their pets!!!!
Over the last 4 1/2 years, our wonderful dog has been to the Vet at least 100 times. Our bills are over $25,000 and it is like having a handicapped child to care for...but he is a family member and we love him!! MS Davis would have KILLED HIM. SHE has a puppy mill business and only cares about the $. SHE SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS!!!
