LIV Plastic Surgery is a, "full service plastic surgery, wellness, and medical practice. Services we provide range from cosmetic surgery, skin cancer surgery, weight loss programs, general wellness, hormone replacement, skin care and the like.”



Most of their leads are developed through their positive reputation, "the most common ways we get leads are from patience referrals. In 17 years of being in practice I have close to 10,000 [patients] who I have taken care of, and the vast majority are internal referrals from other patients. We also do a limited amount of advertising as is the nature of businesses these days. We have a website and are pretty highly ranked in Google search engine results when people look for plastic surgeons." Dr. Andrew Ress went into greater detail on the initial experience a patient would have with LIV Plastic Surgery, "patients are able to reach us online by submitting a contact form. We have a member of our staff call them back to answer there inquiry, and to make sure that the services we offer are a match.”

During the onsite interview, Dr. Ress was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Dr. Ress went on to explain that often times when working in the field of plastic surgery it is imperative to keep expectations realistic, "the time when patients have not been 100% satisfied...are when they are expecting more than what the procedure can offer. So for example, liposuction isn’t a form of weight control. So if a patient comes in and asks why haven’t I lost weight then they don’t remember that we discussed liposuction is sculpting and not weight management." Dr. Ress went on to explain how such complaints are handled, "we take any patients concern quite seriously. What we do is listen carefully to what the patients concerns is, make sure that there isn’t anything on our part that we could have done better. If there is anything we can do to correct or improve upon on the result we do it. For example if a patient requires a minor touch up, something that isn’t a completely new procedure, and it is medically reasonable...time to do it; we offer to do the revision surgery without charge except the cost of supplies and the operating room, our actual expenses. I don’t charge a surgeons fee. My revision rate is very low but I don’t hesitate to bring a patient back for a minor touch up if that is going to make them happy.”



LIV PLASTIC SURGERY CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Dr. Ress informed us that he believes the comments are false, and were posted by a former employee, "I brought in a marketing adviser and ultimately a business partner who had unfortunately been mentioned on Ripoff Report before. Once I discovered he was doing improper things I terminated his relationship with my company. The posts that are currently on Ripoff Report are phony fraudulent words by a former employee that I had [to] sue in Federal Court, and that’s a matter of public record and I’m happy to the links and the backup of it. I’m hoping through this Corporate Advocacy Program that Ripoff Report offers that they can investigate who actually posted these defamatory posts, untruthful posts, and prove that they are actually not from a real person. That these were actually malicious deeds from a fellow who will be going to Federal prison." To further assure future patients Dr. Ress went into great detail about his personal background as well as his dedication to LIV Plastic Surgery, "I grew up here in south Florida, but I went all over the country to the best schools and training programs in order to bring that skill set back. I went to Cornell University, graduate of University of Miami Medical School, to the world famous Mayo Clinic for general surgery and was chief resident of surgery. I spent a year after that researching at John’s Hopkins University, and after that two years plastic surgery at Indiana University, which is one of the top five programs in the country. Then I did an additional fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic in Case Western in Ohio before coming back home and opening my practice. Our surgical facility is fully accredited by the State of Florida. We have maintained and we have all the current technology and safety backups in place. I’m on staff at the two closest hospitals in Boca. Boca Regional Hospital and West Boca Medical Center. I trust my patients care only to me. I give my cell phone number out to virtually every patient I operate on. Part of the quality of care allowing for, and promoting good communication. If a patient has a problem I don’t want them to be tied up in some answering service or voice message tree. They can text me a message and I get back to them almost immediately. I tell patients I don’t care if it’s the middle of the night, weekend, holiday it doesn’t matter. We do surgery it’s a team effort, there job is to observe and report my job is to inter operate and manage. The sooner they get the information to me the faster we can deal with it. Patients really appreciate having direct access to the surgeon, and for me it’s actually much easier than needing to answer a pager.”

When asked what type of changes they have made to honor their commitment to make things right with the customer per the request of Ripoff Report, Mr. Ress went on to explain that the customer's experience with LIV Plastic Surgery will always be their number one priority, "we promote a culture of consumer advocacy, and we want that customer experience to be excellent. So, we have to look apart from the fake reviews that were put online, and the ones put on Ripoff Report. So far are no real patients or anything like that has been put on the site. We are totally focused on patient centricity, the patient is truly the focus of everything that we do and they know that we have their back. Everything we are doing behind the scene is the top level of medicine. We have a great team of nurses and staff. We communicate well together. We are totally in sync with each other and with the patient. We are constantly in communication during the entire process with the patient, before surgery, during and after. The review that was posted, despite it being false and fraudulent we went back and looked at our policies to insure that we are doing everything that we can to do right by our patients and we’re satisfied that we do that.”

 so glad to see i'm not alone in my REGRET/disappointment w/ this place! wish i'd read some of these & the 'Filtered' ones earlier!

honestly i've been lil weary of writing this since *they watch this site* they even made up FLYERS that say "Give Us a Good Review on Yelp and Google reviews!" & actually hand them to you & TELL you to on your way out! Seriously! very unorganic & really says alot i think now looking back (though they didn't do that until my last followup visit here about a 18 mo. ago).

i had "Smart"Lipo *TWICE* because 1st time didn't make a huge difference. but guess what? the 2nd time it didn't either & it HURT LIKE A M*THERF*CKER! 2X and counting: apparently i'm allowed to go back for more free surgeries until i'm happy w/ it which is nice on paper but judging on his attitude while having to do it over and the WAY HE DUG IN THERE differently than the 1st time *HARDER* w/ more ~blood coming out~ and hardly any fat, i swear he seemed MAD AT MY SKIN! and just wanted to do it EXTRA HARD so that he wouldn't have to do it/see me ever again.
accordingly even though i suppose i could go back A 3RD TIME and 4th, etc. (again- the girl said 'for the rest of your life' & again looking back- not a great vote of confidence!) but since he hasn't got it right 2 times & the 2nd time was so much worse than the 1st it's like

oh & i have SCARS + instead of enough of the fat i now have hard, hard to get rid of *SCAR TISSUE* in there! granted i am a slow healer and scar easy but still sucks! that reminds me- when i said that him and his lady friend (from the mother county!) YELLED AT ME cuz i didn't "massage". (no joke i honestly heard them say that but because of their ACCENT i couldn't understand half of what they were saying & thought they said 'message'!)
anyway, like i said i don't think i'll be back but i'm sure after writing this i probably wouldn't be welcome anyway since the phony-but-nice girls probably have to report this to Dr Ress. even if not though- like i said unless i want more BLOOD TAKEN *i'm over it*! i'm burning my bridges here i guess, but it feels good to let it out! sure he's an ok guy, but obviously liposuction isn't his strong suit.
~He took my "BEFORE" PICTURES but even w/ the 2nd surgery AND follow ups HE NEVER TOOK MY "AFTER" PICTURES!~
Mercy Star for the small difference *but* it's been 2 years since then and i've lost some weight so it's really hard to know whether it was this or just me. it bothers me every day cuz really i'll never know and i went and popped my plastic cherry here for nothin'. basically i chalk it up to a bad time in my life where i had a buncha cash. like i didn't even check him at all really- just did it. hopefully this helps someone else cuz even if you're rich like i was: it's not worth it.

but not a $3600 better :/
