I purchased two VIP Tour packages at $525 dollars per ticket for Madonna's, September 6, 2012 show at Yankee Stadium. I had a limited and obstructed view of the stage. The entire section was separated from the stage by two other sections; it could hardly be described as near-to-front row, it was easily as far away as less expensive seats on the ground that were opposite the stage. The entire performance had to be watched on the video screen. This is completely unacceptable, I have purchased VIP seating at other venues and have never paid so much with such poor service. As I walked around the stadium, I realized that people with less expensive seats had a significantly better view of the entire stage than I had.

I feel the ticket process was misleading and falsely advertised. The tickets were supposed to be within the first 20 rows as advertised on Ticketmaster's main site. I later learned via email that the tickets were good for seats in the first 25 rows. This still suggests that the seats would be 25 rows from the stage, not 25 rows from the other sections near the stage.. I sent VIP nation a photo of my obstructed view and would have hoped that as a VIP customer, who paid a premium to be treated to VIP seating, I would be treated as a VIP and be given compensation, but was told by a Live Nation representative that they had provided seats as guaranteed within the package description, but did not have all the inventory for seats in the first 25 rows, because some went to fan club, general public, etc.  They admit to not having inventory, and essentially admit to false advertising. What can I do to be compensated?

I fully second the statement of the author! I had exactly the same tickets and have taken dozens of pictures. On none of them you can see Madonna and the dancers in full. You can't see the legs, and during songs where she was sitting on the stairs, you would only see parts of her upper body. A huge disappointment and completely falsely advertised. Nowhere was it mentioned that the view would be restricted.
