This complaint is about the Loan Depot and its bad business practices. It’s about them disrespecting their customers. It’s about rude liars and disrespectful employees. It’s about a company that does not give a d**n if you live or die or if you lose your car. You better pay them your d**n money or else.
 Over the years beginning from 2009, I have done over 7 loans between 2009 and this current year of 2013. When I first went to the Loan Depot, I need funds to put back into my business to cover the overhead. So the new trend or current way of "helping" people in need of money was to come up with this new scam. The company of discussion takes your car title and your car as collateral; it’s how the contract works.
 
How does a title loan work? Please hear me out and understand that you need to know the risk. I am and Insurance Agent/Broker who is a current business owner of a small agency. I read contracts every day, and my customers have to sign applications, which I have to discuss with them to let them know what they are signing, you follow. Please understand that I am in a position to argue. I have paid off all 7 of those loans every time. I hold the tactical ground. So I can afford to pay off loans, because I know where my money is coming from. This is a fact of life. When you first enter the store, the employees are very nice to you. Of course, they have to be, they want your money. Me, no different, except that I take my customers’ needs very seriously. I am a responsible person. First you go into the store, and they get all your personal information, your phone numbers and references. Then they call your people and contacts to verify where to find you when they decide to screw you over and repo your car. I went on and did 7 loans total. I paid off all of them. Did I make late payments, yes. Did I follow the instructions in the contract about late payments, yes? Did I pay all the late fees? Let me let you in on a little secret.
 
The employees are the collectors of your payments, they decide if your car gets repoed or not. They don’t get paid unless you pay the installments. At the 840 FM 1960 West Location by Hwy 45 is where I did all these loans. As paid off the loans, Israel and other managers and employees told me that I make my payments on time and that they are looking for customers like me. Herb was the manager of that store and was and excellent manager, a responsible manager and so is Mack, who does there marketing. Herb and Mack are excellent people, who care about their customers.
 
Cody was also excellent employee. They then fired Cody and Israel over nonsense and moved the good manager Herb from the Location. After this everything started going downhill. I would call to make payment arrangements and the new staff was very rude to me on the phone, not only did they threaten me, one female even told me that she would have the police come to my door and arrest my a** and take the vehicle and they the new way how the Loan Depot does things now is to have the cops come to your residence and arrest you.  ”her words" if I don’t d**n well get my a** to the store immediately to pay the note. So naturally I panicked and got the payment up there as fast as possible. Then things got worse, I was tipped off and found out that Bank of America is the lender posing at the entity DDB Investors. This was disturbing, since this particular bank likes to not pay on my customer’s escrow accounts and let homeowner policies expire by not paying the carriers and my customers then get cancellations notice. We know about Bank of America bad business practices and this is the norm for them, we all know what they did to the modifications, my house included was foreclosed on by these bastards, as the employees at the bank got gift certificates for foreclosing on your home. Do some research; see for yourself on this bank, you will learn a few things.
 
What happened to make me write this narrative? I had a payment due, called in to let them know that I am on my way to make the payment on Saturday. I noticed this lady coming up to the store the Saturday morning. I entered the store, she told me her name was Michelle and she told me that the Loan Depot just got rid of all the useless employees and that she just took over this store and that things are going to run different around and here and that everyone was fired. Her attitude was very bad. I made the payment and asked her and extension, which she refused right there on the spot. She told me, you’re not getting any more extensions and that you don’t qualify for extensions and that " I don’t care what you say" you’re not getting the extension, you better pay it right now or first thing Monday morning of I will have your car repoed next week, “you’re lucky you still have your car right now.” Excuse me? I said to this b*tch. I have paid off 7 loans I think if I remember and I won’t be talked to like this.
 
Her-did your read the contract, you better read it.
 
me- I read I will read it again. It says that if you are making a payment late, you need to contact the store and set one up.
 
I then called her back 1 hr later when I got back to the office.
 
Her-did you not here what I told you earlier, you’re not getting and extension.
 
I then had no choice but to call another store to find out how to file a complaint. I called a woman by the name of Cindy Rubenstein. Not sure if I have the last name spelled correctly, she handles complaints. I called, no answer, I left her several messages, asking her to contact me, nothing. Shortly there after I went up to the store and made 4 payments to catch up the account to make sure that I didn't owe any payment that my last payment would cover the next monthly payment due. One payment was due, this one slipped by me, I was called by someone I didn't recognize from the store, I went in a made a payment that was not even due yet and asked her when the next payment was due. She said that no payment is due at this time. Then the payment for the next installment was now due, I need some extra time to make the payment. I called in and no one was answering the phone, I called several times, 3-4 times that week, I got the money and was on my way up the store when suddenly the office manager and friend in my office that I shared my office suite with Yelled, Mark, they are taking your car, a wrecker driver is outside. I stormed outside asking him what he was doing. Back off I am taking your car, the bank is repoing your car for not making your payment, you have been delinquent for 10 days, 10 days, what the hell are you talking about. I told him to put the car down. He then came up into my face taking posture to start a fist fight with me. I told him, put the car down, I then realized that this would have been a fist fight, I back down, he hooked the car up, ripped out of the parking lot, almost tore off the fender of my Trans Am. So I called the store.
 
LIES LIES AND MORE LIES AGAIN.
 
Michelle equals: Liar, bad attitude, rude to customers.
 
The new manager told me that Michelle, the manager has been calling me to make a payment, and that my phones were not working, and that I was not reachable and that the notes in the system proved that and that she called the repo on my car quit the job the day before. I am not delinquent I told her. She said, yes you are, Michelle is my friend and she did the right thing. Your car is gone and nothing you can do about it, one more world out of your mouth and I am going to hang up the phone on you. What? I said, she then hung up the phone on me. You bet I was angry. So I made a few calls and called her back. She said that she will check with her area supervisor to see if you can even get your car back, if they decide. Her exact words. She called me back telling that you have to come up with $750.00 in 10 days or the car will be sold at the Houston Auction and that this is your problem, so you better come up with the money. '
 
me-How could you and that lady do something like that to me?
 
So i called to discuss the current situation with this new manager Christy.
 
Her-sir, you signed the contract, I just checked the caller ID, and you have not called this store at all. Michelle put notes on your file on your account, you have not been reachable, your phones are not working, and we have not heard from you. She called the repo on your car.
 
me-you are lying, I called several times, over and over again, you never answered the call.
 
Her-I am the new manager, watch the way you talk to me I will hang up the phone on you again.
       so dont argue with me. You signed the contract, thats your problem. Watch the way you talk to me.
 
me- okay I will be at the store to pay the $750.00
 
So I went to the store to pay the $750.00, she refuses to give me a printed receipt.
me-why am I not getting a receipt
 
her- the bank says that you have to take their world for it and that if you don’t like the way they operate, you will have to trust them, they know what they are doing.
 
me-so my money was gone and I had to leave without a receipt. I contacted my lawyer and told him what happened.
 
lawyer- pay the balance and if they take the money and sell the car, we will sue them. Do not ever do business with these places, that’s why they call them loan sharks, they will bite you and take a chunk out of you and destroy you, they just want your money. The big banks came up with this title loan scam to finish us off in the economy, now this is how they put you on the street, it’s the house, then it’s the car.
 
Thanks for the advice I told him. So what was the outcome? I came up with the money and had to pay the balance at that same 840 FM 1960 Store and asked for a receipt and this time I got it. The new manager gave me release and I went to the Houston Auction, when I saw the condition of my car, I nearly flipped out. The windows were down, dirt and water was in the car, the hood was opened all the change stolen out of my car, the thieves who work the parking lot went through my entire car, stole money, and other small items, the heat from the sun cracked up my steering wheel and the automatic shifter was completely cracked open and my car stunk. They also went inside my trunk. Lesson learned; don’t do business with this company ever again. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I got my car back and am a strong person who overcomes these types of challenges. BAD, BAD BAD PEOPLE, LIARS LIARS LIARS.
 
PEOPLE WILL LIE, PEOPLE WILL DO BAD THINGS TO MAKE YOU LOOSE YOUR CAR.
 
Any employer who hires this woman Michelle.  from this company.  the Loan Depot, need to know some serious facts. If you get complaints about her attitude, belive it. You cannot let employees talk to your customers like this. If you get complaints about her, you will need to address these compliants. Her attitude is really bad, she is bad all around and very rude.
 
The manager Michelle falsified notes on my file, set me up, and called the repo on car to destroy me. Intelligence, power and self-confidence overcame this challenge. I feel bad for the people who lost their cars with this ruthless company. They got screwed.
 
A message to the Loan Depot. If you threaten me, and try anything since you have now been exposed, I will not hesitate to take this to the next level. People like you and your kind that  take people’s money, destroy them and leave your customers without cars. You are filth and scum that sits at the bottom of the abyss. I am not afraid of speaking my mind. This is a new age, a new time period that we are living in.
 
We the people will not continue to tolerate abuses from lenders, banks and others.

PAST THREATS FROM A FEMALE EMPLOYEE. Threatened me with arrest a few yrs ago on a previous loan.

Call her for complaints, good luck. You will not be getting contacted. Pay you money to the lenders, sit down go home or shut up.

I hope this helps with anyone considering getting a loan from this company, dont do it.  No matter how serioud the situation, you will need your car to get to work and run errands, no imergency is worth letting these bad people take your car. You will literally walk. I make money so i was able to get mine back, you may not have this kind of luck. Do you people who run this company think that you  are just going to run over me like this and just get away with this. The fact that i came up with the $2,448.00 and got the car back shows that i have strength.
