Nick, the same thing happened to me just this past week. I did go online seeking a payday advance loan, and shopped around for a legit site and eventually found one, but this Loanshop Collections is one I did not authorize nor sign anything for them to take out $345 out of my account, which they did on my payday last week. Hence, my paycheck was gone too. They didn't even DEPOSIT anything in my account, they just took out the $345. I went to my bank last week, and I filed a dispute claim that had to be notarized, and they told me it would take 2 days . I am hopeful as well, that they can give me back my money, because I did not authorize these crooks to do what they did. When I was shopping online for the payday advance loan, I put in an amount just to see what the finance charge would be, and put in my debit card information. Stupid, stupid, stupid. They also had my social security number and phone number. The other loan company I went to called me, and even emailed me the paperwork for what I signed up for and what to expect. They are out of California and are legitimate. Word of warning to anyone seeking a payday advance loan online. Make sure you get a copy of what you are signing up for in your email. Make sure, if you do not want the loan that you are able to get a phone number for the loan company to call and verify that you were only searching the site and that you do not want the loan and get a cancellation confirmation number. I do not have the phone number or website for this Loanshop Collections and I would love to file a complaint with the Attorney General of the state where they are located and also with the Better Business Bureau. If there is anyone else out there who got scammed by these people, please put the information here, so I too can file a rip off report.
