This is a complaint concerning the company dba as LOCAL RECORDS OFFICE, who operates via the U.S. mail system, however, there is no cancellation on the presorted first class stamp to determine where these letters are being bulk mailed from. A small code of MI2 was stamped on the envelope. It appears this is a P.O. Box company. There are complaints filed at the Chicago BBB, but it appears from a google search on them they are working on the west coast as well. We live in Washington state.

I rate them an "F", They are a scam, they troll public records nation wide for recent property registrations, and then send scary letters to the elderly that look like an outstanding bill. The letter my mother received had the the return address of LOCAL RECORDS OFFICE 1001 Cooper Pt. Rd SW, #140 #117, Olympia WA 98502. If you Google Map that address, it gives you the intersection of a strip mall with these businesses in it:

1001 Cooper Point Rd SW #140Olympia, WA 98502
At this address:
All City Window Washing
Deena Douglas Ultimate Energy Therapy
Garcia's Carpet Installing
Garcia's Pressure Washing
Healing Hands for Pets
Pillar To Post Professional Home Inspection
Puget Sound Waterproofing
The Watershed Addiction Treatment Programs

There are no businesses listed for #117 at that address. These scammers should be told to cease and desist, and an alert bulletin published warning people - especially the elderly - about their tactics. I filed a complaint with the BBB.
