After seeing some of the recent complaints on this website, I got inspired to tell my own story. I started with Myams as I call it, years ago and even though the pay was lousy, there were things that made up for it, such as the fact that you could write your articles in peace, have them accepted, and not have any major issues. After Richard Ramis took the company over it went into a decline. I still have an account opened there, but it has been almost three months since I wrote anything for them. One of the worst problems they have is a completely incompetent staff. They speak very little English and then get mad at you when they can't understand you. Well, English is my first language, I don't know how to speak in Turkish, Arabic, or Chinese, or wherever the heck they outsource their pathetic customer service too. There is only one native English speaker I ever got when I tried to get an issue resolved, whose name was Janet. She was just as rude as the rest of them, if not more so. At least they had a language barrier, she had NO excuse. Her answer to every issue I ever had was "well you can always cancel your account." I made this company thousands of dollars but this new owner spits on his writers. He is the most rude, hateful, individual I have ever worked for and his staff are just as bad. They seem to think that we are all indentured servants and have no right to our money when it's due and no right to ask the support staff a question. If you dare to ask a question about ANYTHING you are blacklisted and blocked from the queue. He evidently is a spiteful, immature child who runs the company through emotion and retaliation rather than with professionalism. And the staff is just the same. The pay is supposed to be twice a week, but it is never on time. NEVER. And when you try to explain to Mr. Ramos that you count on your money, no matter WHAT the pay dates are....you COUNT on it, he essentially says "tough luck." I was even considering filing a consumer complaint, because I know that Internet laws are very strict regarding making false promises. And their pay never comes on the day they promise in the terms and conditions. What's more, they don't even bother to e-mail you about it. Or even put a message on the dashboard saying "we know your pay is three days late....oops". NOTHING. They don't even throw you a bone. The staff for this company are abusive, spiteful, retaliatory, and racist. I would not recommend that ANYONE work for this company.
