My husband and I sent a check for over $2000.00 and a letter advising Long Beach to apply the money to our payments for the next four months and we would begin sending regular payments again after the money we sent them was applied.

We spoke to 3 different customer service agents all who agreed we could do this, plus we called and they gave us a different address to send the check to so that they could make sure it was processed correctly.

After assuring us this would be applied correctly, we received our first late payment call 10 days after the first payment should have been applied, we were told our check had been applied to the principal balance by THOMAS and he told us he would have the problem corrected.

7 days later, we were contacted by the same man who now claims that it is their policy to only apply to the principal balance and now our payment is 17 DAYS LATE. I looked this company up on the BBB web site in NJ and they received a wonderful 93% isn't that wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Such a great company. I read some other stories on this web site and I see the BBB did not help anyone. I will be sending a letter to each of the 3 credit bureau companies along with a copy of the letter I sent to LONG BEACH, and I will be forwarding all this information to the dealer who sold me my vehicle to let them know what an awful company they picked to finance our purchase.

As well as sending the BBB of NJ copies of all of the above. I hope this letter is read by someone BEFORE they let this company finance anything for them.
