i WORK DOWNTOWN AND I CAN NOT PHANTOM HOW YOU CAN PAY FOR PARKING, BUT GET MAD OVER A PARKING TICKET. IF THE TIME RUNS OUT YOUR GETTING A TICKET. SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT. GO METRO AND TAKE THE BUS, TRAIN OR CAR POOL.

As Tony, I too have been following many ripoffreports on the out-of-control lunacy (and dishonesty) in issuing parking tickets. And that doesn't even touch on the Parking Violations Bureau which is a private company contracted with city named Affiliated Computer Services (ACS). That business of TWO parking tickets, one right after the other, when there is more than likely a handicapped placard the enforcer prefers to not see, sounds like something "Ann" went through (a ripoffreport last updated 4/22/04. Here's some phone numbers of CITY people (they'd been posted on other reports)who were wrongly issued a parking ticket. Patricia Cunningham 213-485-4783 Max Reyes 213-847-0522 (both of them were VERY helpful to a man that was going through an unbelievable odyssey with govt. agency bozos) Jimmy Price phone # is 213-847-1380 (He's the "Chief" of parking enforcement.) Last February when LA's NBC4 TV investigators did 2 reports on LA's "invisible" parking signs and got 6 parking tickets at various locales, Price dismissed the tickets after the reporters confronted him. That's so good that you too care about the outrageous injustices that go on with LA's parking enforcement operation. Also, Max Reyes and Patricia Cunningham are city employees who HELP people who have parking enforcement problems, not people that who have been unjustly dealt with. (The way I stated that in my last post wasn't very clear.) City Council members can also be contacted by their constituents (phones, districts, email addresses for them are all on City of LA's website.)
