I was ticketed unfairly after parking my car for a maximum of 45 minutes in a 2 hour zone M-S 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This was not a parking meter it was regular street parking.
A few months back I was ticketed by the same government agency "Los Angeles Parking Enforcement", I was ticketed unfairly at around 7:45 a.m. in a meter that was not enforced until 9:00 a.m. I have pictures to back up the validity of my claim showing the meter number and also the sign that clearly states that it is not enforced until 9:00 a.m.
Something needs to be done and I am more than willing to speak to the media about this unjust situation(problem) that is occurring in our city and I as a citizen feel like I have no control over. It almost feels like the city is against it's residents and trying to pay it's deficit by scamming it's citizens who follow the laws and street regulations by following the street signs and laws.
I don't have time every time the "Parking Enforcement" agent feels like breaking the law or being incompetent to write letters and take time to make phone calls when in reality I have done nothing wrong and never broke the law. I did exactly what the sign read and did nothing wrong to be Penalized with a citation between $48 and $55 dollars. In these economic times every penny counts and to be unjustly fined it really does hurt and I don't want to put up with it.
This is plain unfair and Illegal and in America it is plain hurtful and painful to know that we live in a society where such unfair acts are being practiced by city employees.

Help is on the way. There are finally a few companies working on resolving the parking problem by offering website directories to parking, but unfortunately they are all in it for profits, they are nationwide, and do not offer the most important parking database at all- the free parking database. But does one exist? Anywhere? not yet, not publicly.There is a newly formed company called LA Parking Spot whose main purpose is dedication to fix this HUGE PARKING EPIDEMIC, and stick it to the (PVB) man! If you are passionate in this cause, you can help make it happen- join the movement! LA Parking Spot says,"What can you do? first share your story with us about how you got screwed over by this terrible inefficient system and how much it cost you, by emailing us or by posting to our Facebook page. To go one step further, when you are out and about in LA, snap pics of parking signs where you park, or of incidents like broken or failed meters- or even better, pics of PVB employees wrongly ticketing, or if you want, a video of a Hollywood tow tow truck towing away yet another victim's car... Whatever relates to parking and parking laws and violations in LA, post it here or email please. Why should you take the time to do it? because if you don't, who will? This company was started a( year ago) July 2009 by one young person that became frustrated with the injustice and inefficiencies of the parking system in Los Angeles County. Miss Belling (founder, CEO) thought it absurd that there was this problem that everyone was being negatively affected by, and thus complaining constantly about, but yet noone had seemingly ever done anything to stop. She is pioneering a much needed reform, but she needs your help. The more feedback and attention LA Parking Spot can generate, the easier it will be to gain support of much-needed investors to aid in launching the future full parking database online and make it available for free to the public!"

I too have been violated by the Parking Violations Bureau and HATE IT! I've had to owe over a thousand dollars to those scoundrels! So I've been doing some research to find out where these guys come from.
Guess what I found? Barely a trace of their existence. They are good. No they are superb! Of course the government is incahoots with business but the amount of revenue they must generate from these panhandlers must be astonishing.
What I decided to do is to do some investigating reporting and find out who these guys really are. All the information on these people is amazingly obsure and often requires a massive amount of digging, so any information you have would be a great help!
