RIP OFF LOW BOOK SALES!!! LINDON!!!!

"They won't Jerk you around" Yeah thats a joke!!! Well I applied online and went in after I got a phone call from a representative that I have been approved. I brought my trade in, and they stated that they had a vehicle that I wanted.

So after 5 hours of looking for a vehicle they picked out a Ford Sport Trac 77000 miles on it, that I thought was perfect and exactly what I wanted. Well we went ahead and signed the deal, again this is 7 hours later that I spent at this dealership, getting lied to by employees saying that they were the previous reps managers.

I informed them I didn't want to spend more than 400 a month and they kept coming back to me with 500 and 480 and 450. Again at this time they said getting me a loan was no problem, and I had a low 600 score 635. So I took a 2600 dollar negative hit on my car, when I should have only took 1600 and signed the paper work.

Well 2 weeks later after I fell in love with my car they come back to me and said that the car they picked would not work and I would have to pick something with less miles, they also told me they didn't have my vehicle anymore. Well another 5 hours goes by looking for a vehicle and they get some pretend manager saying 500 a month when all I wanted was no more than 400. He said he wants to make me a deal.

Well I ended up getting my car back that they did have with no plate, and 60 points less of a credit score. They lowered my score 60 points so that another dealership would have a harder time getting financing.

DO NOT go and buy a car there.

I have a new born on the way and could have used the bigger vehicle. Low Book Sales should be closed down and sued by everyone that this happened too... They were not willing to work with me. Their manager was very rude and unprofessional, I felt like I was buying a car from thieves.

Last thing, there were problems with the vehicle they promissed to fix which they said they would no later! Theives. Now it will be harder for me to get a new vehicle for my growing family. Thanks Low Book Sales.

NO LOW BOOK SALES!!!!! THEY JERK YOU AROUND!

You're right Low Book Sales is a Scam

I agree with you in everything you said about low book.  However they have an even bigger scam going on right now between the car dealer, the financial institute and the repair department.  This company needs to be brought before a court.  Not sure how to get all these stories together with names but there are hundreds.

Greetings Kenneth, My name is David Nielson and I am the President and CEO of Low Book Sales. I was very ashamed to hear the way you were treated at our Lindon store. I searched the database for a Kenneth who purchased a Ford Sport Track to no avail. I wanted to contact you personally and apologize on behalf of Low Book Sales. Please know that although your experience was something much less than great I do not except this kind of customer service. We currently sale over 5,000 cars per year and do our best to make each and every customer happy. I will be the first to admit that we are certainly not perfect and can always use a wake up call like this one. Please contact me directly at your convenience by asking for Scott Corey GM at 801 922-9191. Mr. Corey will be able to give you my personal cell phone. I can be emailed at [email protected] as well. Again I am deeply sorry for your bad experience and would love to have the opportunity to resolve any wrong doings. Low Book Sales truly does want to build customers for life and I fear we have done quite the opposite in your case. Very truly yours, David Nielson President and CEO

Low Book Sales Lindon The Real Story

Please use your sharpest judgment to read between the lines on this posting. First and foremost, the tagline "we won't jerk you around" is not and never has been part of our advertising strategy at Low Book Sales. This individual states that they searched for vehicles for five hours and spent seven hours waiting for financing to be complete. This is twelve hours of waiting. Hard to believe since our longest transactions are 2 hours at the most. This means finding a vehicle and going through finance within two hours. The average time is just under an hour if the customer has a vehicle in mind. The complainant states that Low Book Sales dropped their credit score 60 points so that they would have a harder time buying from another dealer. This is a fallacious argument since such activity is impossible from a business to consumer standpoint. If it were being done, it is a federal crime (based on the Fact Act & other laws), and the credit bureaus would shut off our capabilities to pull credit. Low Book Sales is an ethical car dealer with fair business practices. All of our policies are in writing, and we can show you that we spend over $30,000 a month in good will to make our customers happy. This money is above and beyond our regular limited warranties, and other customer protections. Please review our BBB records. You will see that we have had only twelve complaints with the Utah chapter of the Better Business Bureau, and have resolved each one. If you have questions or concerns regarding our business practices, you make call 877-LOW-BOOK and ask for a general manager. For questions regarding this issue, please call me directly at 801-309-3455. -Travis Irish -Low Book Sales

Manager meeting

#5Consumer Suggestion

Not only can you hear them on speaker phone but I used to work for a dealership and saw numerous times that the customer actually got the manager sitting there at the desk the deal was being worked up at. My #2 suggestion is that when you do get the deal worked up you then tell them you want the full deal in writing along with a copy of the contract to have your attourney review. No you don't have to hire an attourney just to buy a car but there are several out there that do contract reviews for cheap and prepaid legal that as it would turn out is very good for this purpose. If they refuse to let you speak with the sales manager personally and allow your attourney to review your contract then chances are the contract holds nothing beneficial to you

1) Bait & Switch. They promised one thing & provided another 2) You should report your problem with the Utah Division of Consumer Protection. This is under the State Utah Division of Commerce. They need to hear & collect these similar complaints. 3) Get Gephardt (Channel 2) has been collecting car rip-off stories. Send your story to Channel 2. 4) The 'approval by manager' thing is a popular gimmick with unscrupulous dealers. The salesman treats you good, but then says I need manager approval. Some dealers have a microphone/speaker at the desk so that personall can listen to you & spouse talk. If it sounds like you really want the car, the salesman will return with 'the manager insists on more money. 5) I'm collecting stories about LowBook.
