Lowes Home Improvement ripoff installed special made shower doors poorly and defectively Riverside california
On Oct.5,2003 I ordered and purchased a tub enclosure and special made shower doors. Lowes sent their installer to my house to measure the shower prior to me purchasing the doors.
I was told it would take 21 working days to get the doors installed. The installer came on Dec. 8 2003 and did not have all the hardware so he installed the tub enclosure which looks okay, and he installed the frame for the shower door.
On jan. 5,2004 they came with the rest of the hardware and finished the install. I looked at the install and discovered the sides of the frame was a different color from the top and bottom, also the doors are quite high and water comes out under the doors when the shower is used. the handle is a two bar handle and it slides down the door.
I contacted Lowes lots of times to get this issue resolved and they sent a second install team who told me my walls were off thats why the doors are cocked and not straight, and they tightened the wrap around handle and replaced the side rails to match the top.
The shower doors fall off and I have to lift them out of the shower tighten the screws that hold the clamps and rollers on and reinstall the doors and the two bar handle slides down the door. My husband is disabled and I am afraid the doors will fall on him they are solid glass doors and are heavy.
April 2004 I went in the store to complain and see if they will make good on the doors all I get is alot of promises and they dont call or show so far.
