Bob, Estimating by your lack of following instructions while posting (the words "Don't use all CAPITOL LETTERS") and your lack of recognition of pertinant facts, maybe you are your own problem. Let's re-cap your post: You wanted fencing installed, and paid to have a site plan. The assigned contractor contacted you within 3 days (pretty good so far) and arranged to work with your schedule to estimate the job within two days. Wow. Still stellar service. Before the arranged time, and on the arranged day, the contractor realized that they would not be able to meet you at the time arranged and called to arrange something else. FYI - that is appropriate and responsible. Not just called, but left a message with a suggested time. What is the beef with that? Your posted response is a demand, 10:00 or nothing. Seeing that they called to say it was not possible, why the demand? Maybe a family member went to the hospital? Is the fence that important? So you call the store? Why? If the contractor has called you and notified you that they cannot be there, what can the store manager do? Obviously, he did not understand the expected course of action, so he presented two options. "Refund your money" or "Find out why they cannot be there". Can you give another option? From my perspective, he received a call from an extremely irrational person who had no purpose to call him and asked the irrational person what course of action was desired. And the irrational person became angry? If this is the way that you handle all inconveniences, it is likely you could tell us some more similar interesting stories. Humor us. Don't. Figure out how to handle your anger, and find peacable resolutions to life's simple problems. If this can even be called a problem.
