Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

The L'etoile face cream website is a major rip-off. My sister told me about the face cream and I thought I'd give it a try. I placed an order for the free trial size, $4.95.

I tried to get only the trial size of the face cream, but ended up with an ebook download and eye cream trial as well. I tried to go back to figure out how not to select those items -- in extremely small gray print at the bottom of the page was the option to decline the eye cream -- in gray really small letters "No thanks, I already look ten years younger." And it was too late. I couldn't undo the order.

I never got the option to choose option 1 or option 2 -- I only saw those after I went back trying to not purchase the extras -- again, in gray, at the bottom of page of the page -- *terms* in very small gray letters. I clicked on that and realized I had inadvertently signed up for a trial and automatic refill in 14 days for both the eye cream and the face creams -- $98 a month EACH.

Bottom line, I purchased items I didn't want under terms I didn't see. I never received a purchase confirmation. I'm pretty sure this advertising is illegal. I suspect that the celebrities pictured do not endorse this website. I wonder if it's really even a Shark Tank product.

I finally found a number to call -- it isn't in the *contact us* option, it's in the *terms.* I called. They tried hard to talk me into keeping the order. I insisted in cancelling, citing their shady website as the reason. They offered me a 35% discount on future orders! I insisted again on cancelling. Then they told me they would charge me $4.95 for shipping and handling even though I was cancelling and not receiving any product. Then I lost it! I imagine that there are people out there who breathe a sigh of relief and just allow them to charge the card for $4.95 figuring they've only lost $5 instead of $200. They've assured me that the order is cancelled (got *supervisor* online after a long silent wait who said I wouldn't be charged anything), but I'm really considering replacing my credit card just in case. I do not trust them.
