Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Yes. That's right. I'm reporting Lucasarts to Ripoff Report. I figured after about five years or so of Lucasarts ripping people off and its victims not doing anything about it, I figured it was time to blow the whistle.

According to my EXTENSIVE research (I am not making this stuff up, people), Lucasarts did the following:

1. They cancelled "Sam and Max: Freelance Police" just before it was about to be completed.

2. They fired the people who worked on that game.

3. When the people who worked on that game formed their own company (called Telltale Games), Lucasarts refused to give them the programming code to that game.

4. They changed the release date of "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2" from February 2005 to December 2004, rushing Obsidian, and causing the game to be released in an incomplete state.

5. They refused to allow Obsidian to finish KOTOR2.

6. The "Combat Upgrade" for Star Wars Galaxies took out a whole bunch of job classes, items, and abilities.

7. They made the Jedi class, the most powerful class ever, available at the start with the Combat Upgrade.

8. They refused to make their recent games like "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed", "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Fracture" for the PC.

9. They refused to re-release any of their graphic adventures in the United States.

10. They refused to re-release any of their graphic adventures on the Nintendo DS, claiming that "there's not enough space to hold them".

11. They claim they are still making adventure games, but they are making them of the "survival horror" variety. I have yet to see one survival horror game from the company.

12. They hand out cease-and-desist letters that actually contain the F-word! The F-word, people! I'm not kidding!

I may update this if I find more information. And, knowing Lucasarts, I'll probably find more information.

Lucasarts, A Company That Angered Millions Of Gamers

Yes. That's right. I'm reporting Lucasarts to Ripoff Report. I figured after about five years or so of Lucasarts ripping people off and its victims not doing anything about it, I figured it was time to blow the whistle. According to my EXTENSIVE research (I am not making this stuff up, people), Lucasarts did the following: On March 3, 2004, Lucasarts cancelled "Sam and Max: Freelance Police", and shortly after, the company fired the people who worked on it, angering a lot of people in the process. When those people formed their own company called Telltale, Lucasarts refused to grant them the rights to that game. That game has remained unreleased for at least five years. Unfortunately, it does not end there. Lucasarts moved the release date of "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2" from February 2005 to December 2004 for no reason, rushing Obsidian, the company that worked on that game. Because of this, the game ended up being released incomplete, angering a lot of people in the process. Obsidian wanted to release a finished version, but Lucasarts won't let them. Lucasarts also changed "Star Wars Galaxies" in a big way with their "New Combat Upgrade" - by removing a lot of character classes and dumbing down the Jedi class by allowing it to be one of the professions at the start, angering a lot of people in the process. The stuff that was removed was never put back into the game, even in the expansions. I may update this if I find more information. And, knowing Lucasarts, I'll probably find more information. Wes L.
