Lumnant Skin Scam - Free Product for cost of shipping is a Lie Nashville Tennessee
After completing an online survey, I was notified that I would receive a free skin care product called Luminant Skin for the cost of shipping only. I provided my credit card information to be billed 4.95 for shipping. I was billed 4.95 and I received the product. Two weeks later I was billed an additional 93.95. Then two weeks after that I was sent a second bottle of Luminant Skin and charged an additional 98.90. When I called the company I was quickly refunded the 98.90, but not the first unapproved charge of 93.95. The Luminant Skin personnel Jed Carter told me that even though the product was advertised as free and the only cost was the shipping, the terms and agreements stated the actual cost. He told me this was clearly stated on their website. I never sought out their website, I responded to a "free" product offer that was supposed to be a reward for completion of a survey. The company got my credit card number for the shipping charge and then billed me for the shipping and another $192.85 total. If they want to sell their product for $100 a bottle, they are free to do so, but to offer it free for the cost of shipping, then make unauthorized charges to my credit card is robbery.
