I recently purchased a Lux Mobile iPhone case via the Lux Mobile website. The case was 64.99 plus 4.95 shipping. After completing the purchase, the email confirmation I received stated that I would soon receive a tracking email, within a day or so. However, I did not hear anything for over 2 weeks. At this point, I became concerned, so I did some research and attempted to contact the company.
First, I tried the phone number listed on their website, as I previously included in this report. However, it was disconnected, and I received the "cannot be completed as dialed" from Verizon. It was a Glenview, Illinois number, which immeadiately threw up the red flags. Next, I sent an email to their general information address and promptly received a reply from "Karen." She explained how she was sorry and wanted to inquire about why I was requesting the refund. Another person also sent an email, "Pat." He then asked for my shipping address. However, I replied stating I only wanted a refund for my purchase. No response. I also replied to Karen, explaining how their lack of customer service was leading me to believe they were fraudulent. No response.
Interestingly, just today, they removed the "contact" form from their website, and you can no longer find that phone number on the site, nor an email address. This fraudulent, hack company is BAD news. DO NOT make a purchase from them. If you need a phone case, buy a mophie instead. These guys are NOT who they say they are.
Also, their address (10450 N. Airport Rd., Hayden, ID 83835) is fraudulent. It is actually the address and building for "Blue Water Technologies," a water treatment facility and innovation company. I have contacted them to inform them of this fraudulent usage of their address.
