Interesting title, huh? I am hoping others come forward stating the same. I am sure you're asking *why* I have entitled Lynx buses as hazardous to one's health. It's simple to explain, not so hard to deal with. The simple explanation: These drivers either cannot drive, or WILL not drive properly. The not so easy to explain part- the what: A majority (and growing bigger) of bus drivers speed up, and then slam on the brakes, throwing people forward in their seats. I have found from observation one and ONLY one reason for this: They like to 'punish' the people they drive around! I am writing this on the 16th, The 15th my most recent (and painful) experience.

The bus, 111 route bound for Disney and Florida Mall. Time, 10:00/ 10:30 from the Orlando International airport. Bus #, 813. Operator #, 1376. This "person" not only was jerking the bus (and my g/f will agree to lawyers and tv cameras), he seemed to think it was especially fun to do it if I reached into my backpack! After this had happened, I looked up to see why we were being jerked like this down the expressway- and I saw him smirking. At me- it's the only reason I saw him smirking at all- the eye contact. My g/f happened to look up, and saw this as well.

The upshot- ruined day at Disney. We both were in discomfort (stomach, back, neck), I was ill (And having rode the 29 yesterday, I was ill from that as well. Same type of ride.) I am STILL ill, and having stomach discomfort. I have ended up with a nervous disposition as well from riding these buses.

But that's not all. My g/f has ended up with a stomach discomfort (from a previous ride) and a distended abdomen after an espcially bad stop where she "felt like a soda can being crushed". She will be seeing a doctor ASAP. I need to go as well.

There have been other occurances. Have we reported them? It's like screaming into the wind with the "complaint reports"! Customer service just simply shuts you down when you have a legit complaint. Requests to talk to someone in charge have been stonewalled. And now, since I end up being injured almost every time I get one of these buses- I am no longer able to go anywhere. My nerves, stomach, neck and back simply will not take it- And do N O T think I am some withered flower, neithet- I can go to Disney and ride anything they have there. I NEVER come off feeling I do when riding a Lynx bus. EVER.

I wont be going back, since riding there is a literal pain.... So, thank you, Lynx, for ruining what little fun I could be having in the future... And making me unable to use the rest of my annual pass.

A pithy apology just isnt going to cut it, you know. You have ruined my ability to commute.

These buses are equipped with engine retarders. As soon as the driver applies the least amount of pressure to the brakes, the retarder activates. On Gilligs (the brand of the bus) enfortunately the force is really hard giving the impression the driver is braking hard. It's not their fault. Also, your sickness may have something to do with something you ate, etc. As far as your girlfriend's stomach problem... A bus ride would not cause such problem. It actually sounds like a disgusting issue she needs to have checked out. You sound like a whiner.
