M Tucker Co., Inc. Singer NY, LLC Clever company changes owners. Original owners run company. Promises, then refuses to pay for services contracted by first company. Paterson, New Jersey
This large company contracted our small, family owned business to install a commercial kitchen hood in a new restaurant. They promised us future work, so we did the job at little or no profit. When they issued their purchase order(4/14/2011), they were M. Tucker. They are now M. Tucker a division of Singer NY, LLC. The same people are still in charge. Please see the link below to verify.
The representative of M. Tucker that we have been dealing with stated that because the agreement was made with the original company, they would not be responsible for payment. We were assured the transition would not cause any problems with our agreement. Please see "Answers to Frequently Asked Questions" issued by M. Tucker on June 17, 2011,
Q: If I have a signed contract with M Tucker for a new equipment project, will those terms be

Rich Zang of M Tucker made numerous promises to us, stating if M. Tucker would not pay, he would pay us out of his own pocket. Since that time he has not returned my more than one dozen calls. I have also been told that they have powerful attorneys and we would be wasting our time.
To date we have not been paid our $4400.00. If you are considering doing business with either Singer Equipment Co.,Inc or M. Tucker, please use caution. If they use a loophole in order to avoid paying for services rendered, they may have other unscrupulous business practices.
