Mack Photography Mackenzie Russell Terrible Photos Irresponsible Do Not Recommend this Person Calgary, Alberta Canada
I hired Mackenzie Russell of Mack Photography to take the photos for my wedding. She was not the cheapest photographer (not even close!), but I chose her thinking that she would do a good job. I was wrong!!!
She showed up late and unorganized. My sister had to lend her batteries for her camera (I think it was for the flash). We had already started getting dressed and this girl (Mackenzie) showed up half way through and put even more stress on my day. It was so awkward!! As we were getting ready we were constantly interrupted to do cheesy poses, I eventually spoke to Mackenzie and asked her just to stand in the corner (out of the way) and take pictures of us. I think I even have a better eye for a photo and I have never been involved in the industry.
I had trusted Mackenzie to find a great location for additional shots (other than the one my husband and I had chosen). We were taken there and had to refuse the site because it was completely muddy. I stepped out of the car and got the bottom of my dress and my shoes covered in mud. I wouldn't let my bridesmaids out of the car. Mackenzie had not thought of this. We are dressed in our wedding attire and she chooses a farm pasture in the spring that is almost submereged in water. I took an hour out of our day to drive there with Mackenzie reassuring us that it was a beautiful location. I do not know if she actually has a brain in her head.
Almost a month later we were finally able to view the photos. I cannot even find the words to express my disappointment. I think she was embarrassed to show the pictures and that is why it took so long. Maybe she is always unorganized, I don't really know. I don't have one photo from her that I am proud to hang on my wall (ones taken by friends and my family were better). She didn't stay for the entire evening as promised, had I known that she left as early as she did I probably would have been relieved.
I have tried unsucessfully to get a portion of the money back. I have tried to be fair with this girl, but she is stubborn, refusing to return calls and can't seem to make the right decision. Although i had the best day of my life I feel the images of the day are useless. I will never have the chance to have this day again. I wished I had chosen a better photographer, I can't believe she even calls herself one.

This report is completely false. I have never shown up late to a wedding or any other photo shoot, I am usually early. I have never had to ask for batteries, taken my bridal party to a site that was not suitable, and have never been embarrassed to show the photographs to my clients, as I am proud of my work. The prices are comparible to my competitors, if not on the low side.

This website is not regulated and anyone can file a report, whether its true or not. This one is definitely a hoax!
