Magical Memories Travel Lori Hardegree (owner) Corrupt Travel Agency Kennesaw Georgia
I am writing this as a warning to anyone who is looking to book with Magical Memories Travel for their travel needs. Until recently, I was employed under Lori Hardegree who owns this travel agency out of Kennesaw, GA. I have had nothing but problems with Lori since day one.
I, along with many of the other agents, are owed commissions that are rightfully ours. I am currently trying to get paid for commissions that are owed to me from 2013. As potential clients, please ask yourself if you would do business with someone who treats their employees like this. I have numerous emails back and forth with Lori where I am practically begging to be paid money that is rightfully mine. All I get in return is excuse after excuse as to why I have not been paid. Most of the time "it's a problem with the bank". It's been 2 years, do you buy that? Because I certainly don't.
As a client of Magical Memories Travel, you will also run into numerous problems. Important travel documents have been "lost in the mail" when sent out by Lori. Also, it is nearly impossible to reach her or to get a response from her. I have heard numerous stories from other agents who have lost huge bookings because they needed a response from Lori and she never got back to them. Then, those clients need to go find another agentcy to help them and they have to start all over. How frustrating!
The worst thing is I've come to realize that there is no protection for someone in my situation. I have contacted an atorney and the sad fact is that the attorney fees would cost me more than she owes me. Also, there is no guarantee she will pay me even if I do win the lawsuit. I would have to keep going back to court and keep chasing her as I have been doing for 3 years now. Therefore, she keeps getting away with this. She ignores the agents she has and refuses to pay them while she goes out and hires new, unsuspecting agents who are promised the world and have no idea of how she runs her business. I would liek to put an end to that and at least get the word out. I've searched the internet and there is nowhere to write a review on Magical Memories Travel... I wonder why.
I have taken other steps such as contacting the Attorney General but he is unable to help in situations like there. I have also contacted the Labor and Wage division but never get a return phone call.
So, I am reaching out to the media. I am reaching out to the public to help me put an end to these corrupt business practices. Someone like this should not own a business. She takes advantage of everyone that works for her.
I have a few more steps that I am going to take, including contacting the IRS, but I am asking you to please be mindful when choosing a travel agency. There are numerous agencies out there who treat their employees with respect and Magical Memories Travel is not one of them. Please, give your business to one of them and save yourself a lot of halssle and wasted time.

It is so discouraging to hear stories like this. Unfortunately, this is not the first story I have heard about an agency around KENNESAW cheating travel agents. In fact, this story is REMARKABLY similar to one I have heard about an Agency called Magical Vacations by Me, run by a woman named Frances Hedrick our of Merietta. I plan to do some digging on your agency owner, Lori, to see if they are friends.
