Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Me and my wife found a car on the internet that we really liked. We went to maiin street luxury autos or now known as truck n auto depot which is a used car dealership and looked at the vehicle. We really liked it the price on the internet was close to the kelly blue book price. We were greated by a young salesmen that had been working there for 2 weeks. We took the car for a test drive and really enjoyed it and wanted to buy it through financing if the numbers were right. We told him we wanted to trade in our 2001 plymouth neon for the down payment. He took our keys to go look at our neon to see how much the trade in value would be.

Mike (one of the managers) ran our credit and info and told us it was out of our budget price of no more then 300 dollars a month car payment. He asked us to test drive some other vehicles that were in our price range. The salesmen showed us 2 cars that was in our price range. They both were van looking SUVs that we were not interested in at all. we took them for a test drive and they both drove terrible. There were alot of irregular engine noises and loud clicking noises in the transmission. When we came back we told him that we were not interested and we wanted our keys back to our neon so we can leave. He said "I thought you were serious about buying" we said "we were for the Toyota Corolla we originally wanted. We dont want those other cars. He then said well what if I can get you in the toyota corolla you wanted for what he called "your pre-approved amount". We said well thats the whole reason why we came here. He gave us this whole story of well I will have to call the owner and see if i can work a miracle and get it close to your 300/m budget. We said well if you can get us in that car for our budget then yes we are serious about buying. After 2 phone calls to this mysterious owner. ( which was weird why their company didnt own it) He got it to about 350/m car payments and our trade in value of our car would be $1,500.00. He said how much can you put down we said we only want to put down our trade in value. We dont have anymore money for a down payment if that cant work tell us and we will leave. He said he can loan us the down payment of an additional approximate $1200. We asked how does that work? he said we can give him payments each week that works for us to pay the down payment in cash. He told us not to tell the finance company that were doing that because its none of their business. He told us to lie to them and tell them we gave him the full amount of the deposit in cash. I asked if that was illegal and he said no not at all. so we set up a weekly automatic payment from our bank account to pay him the down payment of the car that he signed a contract saying we gave him the down payment in full in cash I later learned that it was illegal.

When he was asking us to give him proof of our paystubs from work and how much we pay rent he asked us how much do we pay rent? we told him me and my wife pay $800 a month with utilities and garbage included. We provided our lease agreement for the finance company. After he got us "preapproved" for the vehicle and we signed the finance contract and everything was taken care of and we were getting the keys to the vehicle and about to leave he comes from his office and said "he made a booboo" He said "I thought you guys said you had a roommate and I assumed you payed $400 out of the $800/m rent. We said no we never said that we gave you the lease agreement. He said "well thats my booboo" He then asks us to ask our landlord if the bank contacts him to lie and say we only pay $400/m for rent otherwise we dont make enough to satisfy the bank that we can make the monthly payment. This was after all the contracts were signed and everything. after we traded in our vehicle. He said hopefully the bank wont even contact your landlord which in the end the bank did not contact my landlord. I did tell my landlord of this and told him if the bank does call him and asks tell the truth. Im not getting in trouble because of a shady used car salesmen trying to make a sale. He agreed he wouldnt lie but again the bank never contacted my landlord.

After we brought the car home the next day mike calls us and says he found us a much better contract and we need to come in right away before this deal is gone. Me and my wife thought this was weird since we just signed a contract with a so called finance company. We went in to see what this new deal was and it was for 280/m for 5 yeatrs at a lower percentage rate. Mike said we need an additional $800 down we told him we cant afford that. He said we can just add on a few weeks of payment to me before your first month payment is due. at this point we really wanted to keep the car we thought we already bought once so we agreed he told us to again lie and say we paid him in full in cash. (We later found out that our first contract was never preapproved by a financing company. We actually got a letter a week later from them saying we were denied. We ended up signing for this new deal at 280/m with a different finance company. Mike asked us for our old contract customer copy back which i told him Im not giving that back its my "customer copy" i need it for records. He was visibly upset about this. After we signed with the new finance company for the better deal we were told we would have a follow up call to confirm everything. mike again reminded us to lie about the deposit. my wife and I were busy the nest 2 days during business hours and the finance company tried calling us a couplle times for the follow up interview we called them back on the 3rd day and they said we couldnt get ahold of you so we sent the loan back to main street auto. We told mike what had happened he said not to worry he will figure it out. about a few days later he called us and said he found us another deal. we went in to see about the new deal and the new deal was 459/m but instead of 6 years its 4 years we said we cant afford 459/month. I asked him if the down payment was the same. he said no that he needed more money for the down payment. as me and my wife were discussing this new deal we did keep in mind its 2 years less of an interest charge. mike came in saying you need to sign this really quick i have other customers. he was rushing us and reluctantly me and my wife just signed the new deal to get away from mike and main street auto forever. at this point we were so traumatized and disgusted with him his family and his dealership we just wanted the hell out of there. after we got home we realized when he made up the new contract he had switched our trade in value from $1,500.00 to $1,050 we were so fed up we didnt even notice it. yes thats our bad for not noticing but still its a low down dirty move on his part. why would our trade in value change he had our car from the first day we came in. there were no changes. We also noticed he changed the original total amount of the car to a much higher one. again our dfault for not catching it but still its a dirty conman move. A reputable place would never do that. after all said in done yes it was a very reliable used car but absolute horrible customer service. him and his family lied to us time after time and totally played on our desperation. again letting him play on my desperation was not smart but he still lied to me my wife and the finance company. He can really get in trouble for that. Anyone that reads this there are many rip off reports just like mine. Read for yourself. They even changed their name because of their bad reviews and they were getting to be known as scam artists. their current name is truck n auto depot. Ive seen Joe one of his sons or step sons that is a manger there write his own positive reviews about the place after someone wrote a horrible review. Ive even seen joe threaten a customer with slander. Its not slander if its true Joe! They deserve to go out of business and i wouldnt be surprised if some of them are in jail later on for ripping people off and scaming them. Yes alot of this is always civil but theyare very close to being criminal if what they already have done isnt criminal. Please take your business to a place with all good reviews. This place swears on giving you a great car at a great place and they say they are a christian family and hes a vet but they do not act christian at at all! they are scammers. They will scam you if you are desperate for a reliable car and have somewhat bad credit. Dont go to them you will only recieve heartache. Trust me its not worth it. My finance company told me what he did is illegal lying about the amount of deposit paid upfront in cash and lying about how much rent we pay. im so glad they never asked me those questions on my interview with my finance company because me and my wife decided we would rather just tell the truth and lose this car then stoop fown to their level. they lowered the trade in value by almost $500. That number should of always stayed the same. the overall prive of vehicle also should of stayed the same

I noticed on another report someone mentioned they were open to getting some people to do a civil lawsauit as a group. Im open to that. I have all my old original contracts for each so called finance company and proof the first deal was denied anyways. My wife and I are open to talking about doing a group lawsuit if they are interested!

They require you to do a review of them before you buy a car

When buying a car from them they make you fill out a review of their business and customer service before you have completed the full transaction. They stand or sit right behind you while you fill out a review and rate them. They do this in the very beginning right after they verbally tell you your so called credit approval, your interest rate, and how long the loan will be. But they make you fill this out before you put pen to paper. When i was filling this out i had problems setting up an account because a previous buyer never signed out. I spent almost an hour trying to figure it out to get signed up so i could leave a simple review. I told them that i cant figure it out and im really not interested in leaving a review before things are done. He said oh well this is part of the process and we can't continue if you dont set up an account and write a review. After finally figuring this all out and the owner or manager finishing the prior buyers info and reviews on themselves and signing him out so i could make an account i just went through real quick and made a review to get this stupid process over with so i could continue buying my car. Then after all that they day oh since your wife is on the lease she has to fill one out too. At that point we were so frustrated we just clicked on random stars and wrote a quick b.s. review... Remember they continye to walk and sit next to you and after that then you start the official paperwork. He told us it will only take maybe 45 min to do paperwork. It took us 4 hours to finish everything. Also when they said we were preapproved filled out paperwork for a finance company we had to get insurance on our new car before leaving the lot. When the insurance company asked whats the finance companies name and i asked them they said we dont have one quite yet just put our business name down as finance company. How are we approved for a finance company you cant name. They said all that info will be made available in the morning. The next morning is when they called us and said oh we have a much better deal now you need to rush here before the close of business to get it. Even that deal fell through. To new buyers... If a bank wants your business and your approved you have more then a few hours to sign papers. Trust me you have time to think it through. Thay night we bought that car and we wrote and signed the first contract we were never approved for anything or they would of had a finance company name for insurance. They lie so much and its all B.S. this crap they feed you. I had seen a previous employer wrote a ripoff report about how bad they treated him. And how much they rip people off. You can read it, its on here. If they spent as much time trying to be loyal as they do lying and ripping people off they would be golden. They are out right liars and will screw you over! Do not write any reviews until the bank has your paperwork and your done with them. You dont have to write a review to purchase a car. Thats the only way they get good reviews is they have you write a review before they have technically done anything for you while your exicted about your new vehicle you "think" your buying with out any problems. After you write that review the pain, stress, and B.S. starts!
