Be VERY cautious before dealing with the company MAJOR LABEL PROMOTION and more specifically, its Senior Vice President, Erik Baker. Recently, the Senior VP posted an advertisement on craigslist requesting applicants for a part time position as his personal assistant.

One girl came across this ad and applied, at which point she was hired and given her first assignment to attend a concert in Louisville, Kentucky (nearly 3 hours away from her home). After introducing her to several of the bands and enjoying the music, the Senior VP began to drink and became intoxicated while supposedly being "on the job." After keeping the new hire at the event center while everyone else left, he refused to hand over the girl her car keys when she declined to stay in a hotel room with him over night.

The situation escalated and eventually, she was able to contact a friend back in Nashville, TN that was then able to contact the Louisville, KY police department who then informed the KFC Yum! Center's security team. Because the security team arrived before any noticeable physical abuse had taken place, and without any witnesses, Erik Baker was let go without any repercussions from either Major Label Promotion or the LPD.

Please be very cautious when dealing with this company or man. The lack of professionalism and respect for employees not only reflects very badly on both the company and the bands he is affiliated with, but has set the stage for a potentially dangerous situation for any future employees, band members (and their associates), or job applicants/interviewees who are not mindful of what kind of company Major Label Promotion apparently is.

Help spread the word and make sure that no one else is put in a position like this again by Erik or any other person. Let's also be sure to let the bands/companies that are affiliated with Major Label Promotion (such as Hinder, My Darkest Day, Gibson Guitars etc) know what kind of promotion company and Senior VP they have representing them.

This type of behavior is unacceptable in any work place and threatens the integrity of everyone that is associated with him. Neither fans OR employees should ever have to fear for their safety due to an intoxicated promoter (let alone Senior VP) that is retaliating based on the rejection of his sexual advancements.
