Public records show allegations of SEXUAL ASSAULT on a patient by a staff member followed by a civil lawsuit that Malibu Horizons settled before being held accountable in front of a jury.
Patient claims the JANITOR POSED AS MEDICAL PERSONNEL and administered medication and proceeded to sexually assault client. This is all a matter of public record. Patient claims staff, including Dr Mohammed, Dr. Mather and Dr. Weyand went to great lengths to cover up all wrong doings instead of attending to the patients needs.
Records go on to say, by the admittance of Dr. Mohammed, that the janitor was out at a bar drinking with Dr Mohammed the night of the incident and Dr Mather, the assigned therapist to the patient, did not return to the unit until 3 days after the assault to attend to the patient. Patient claims to have stayed on the unit, intentionally over medicated and ignored until asked to leave.
Allegations of harassment by staff were also included in the lawsuit as well as breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. Patient was accused of "making it up or dreaming it" by staff and ultimately ended up being asked to leave. There is alot more to this unfortunate and shocking story but the most important thing to know is this....
Funny how there were no reviews about this HIGH PRICED FLOP HOUSE until mention of their BEING SUED for SEXUAL ASSAULT. I would say ALL REVIEWS written after the original post are FAKE ones written by staff members or patients that were asked to do so on their behalf..... BEWARE!
These people are very sneaky. If you truly want help, go to a hospital. You don't need horseback riding and yoga to get
sober. its just an excuse for them to charge 4 times the price for 1/4 of the care. Malibu Horizons staff members are greedy, shady scam artists that bank on your failures. If you really want help, don't be a spoiled brat and check into a high priced flop house/hotel. Go to a hospital, a real hospital and get quality help.
Before checking into any rehab, do a thorough investigation of any complaints made against the facility with the Dept of Drugs and Alcohol Board and local courthouse public records.. Your health, safety and well being should never be compromised.
