This happened over 5 years ago, and did not happen as such. Just wanted to say my peace and clear the air, so to speek! The client told me he wanted to completely redo his back yard. So this meant we had to start from scratch, dig up all the existing grass, top dress with top soil, then grade with skid steer. After doing so we proceeded to establish new turf. The client originally told me he wanted to make flower beds all the way around the fence, but then decided he wanted it all soded. This was the reason for the additional sod cost. On completion he noticed two little dips in the grass. He said the lawn was not as perfect as he had hoped. I told him i could top dress the two spots with sand, which would make it perfectly level. But he insisted on a total refund. Obviously i coulded refund the used materials. So he then took me to small claims court. He brought with him pictures of the lawn which the judge told him was a nail in his own coffin. The grass in the pictures looked great except for the lines that he had draw on them with a marker pointing out the dips. So the judge decided in my favor and made him pay the 100 dollar court fee. I guess that made him pretty mad, mad enough to bash me online. And as far as my back ground goes, I did get in quite a bit of trouble when i was younger. That i cant dispute, but i did grow up.
