They are the only people who respond to debt collector questions with terms like DEADBEAT - so you can ignore him. He is probably involved in this case somehow. Unfortunately you cannot ever trust a collection agency to do the legal right thing and the attorney's they use cannot be trusted either. www.budhibbs.com - this consumer advocate website specializes in debt collections and exposes all the illegal nasty tricks they use to collect debts from anyone - regardless of whether they are the real debtor or not. Collection agencies and people like Carl do not want you to know about this site. You can find out about Statute of limitations, recording calls in your state etc that will assist you in dealing with collections. Federal law in place that collections are required to follow and many do not. They do not want you to know about Fair Debt Collection Practice Act. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre18.shtm (FTC website) You can sue a debt collector for violating FDCPA,

Ralph Marcadis is not a Fraud or a ripoff, he is an attorney in Tampa who specializes in Commercial Debt Recovery. He works with many commercial collection agencies and handles those deadbeats that refuse to pay their debt to their vendors or other creditors. It amazes me how quickly people are willing to tear down a person or company because they are a debt collector. What about all those deadbeats that steal product and never pay for it? It costs you the consumer extra money every time you buy an item, it costs honest hardworking people and honest companies money to pay for the products taken by companies without the intent or ability to pay for them. It is possible that a creditor places an account with a collection agency to recover funds, once the agency figures out the debtor refuses to pay the agency may forward the case to an attorney. The information given by the original creditor is what is relied on to make the demand for payment. You people should not be ostracizing a good honest attorney for doing his job. Carl Roberts

Don't expect this rent a attorney, to validate anything, they will lie and said they did, or just file suit and give you some, false documents during discovery. In there letter did they say who there are collecting for? The account error numbers, they will change them to the correct ones and say it was a typo don't sign anything you send, it will be scanned and a contract or payment will show up, when one wasn't there Send them a second letter again demanding validation, also put in this letter, about the calls made to you after they got the first letter this way you can build a claim, or get an answering machine and let all calls go to that, so you can have a recording of them, that's what we did and got some great violations contact the clerk of courts, there in downtowm tampa and find out if they have a web site for cases files in civil court, if so you should check it at least once a week, these attorneys have friends that also serve these summons and will claim you were served, when you they didn't When i worked for the sheriff dept in the next county, we got called in as a witness in one of these collection cases, A person got a default judgement against them for fail to respond to a complaint, We were at the home for several hours on the date and the time it was claimed to be served. Turns out this attorney and process server had a thing going for a while. sorry i can't remember the name of the attorney

Deb, This is a bunch of true lowlife. Do not trust them and NEVER speak to them or any debt collector on the phone. What you need to do is send a DEBT VALIDATION request to them as per your rights under the FDCPA. In this letter clearly dispute the debt, and demand a full account history and itemization of all charges and most importantly a copy of the signed contract that created the debt. Also, if they claim to own the debt, demand to see the purchase contract, chain of title, and proof of payment including amount paid. Also state that all further communications MUST be in writing, and all phone calls will cease immediately. Send this letter by certified mail, return reciept requested. be sure to put the certified # on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records. This is very important as it proves what you sent. They must cease collections actions until they validate this debt. If they violate your rights any further, you sue them which would be a slam dunk with your documentation. This is a very common scam. They are JUNK DEBT BUYERS and have little or no documentation on this "debt" and they are just fishing to find the person it belonged to. They paid pennies or less on the dollar for this debt. These creeps will file a lawsuit on the wrong person and hope for the default. they do it all the time.
