Marcadis & Associates Garnishment Tampa Florida
Marcadis & Assoc. had a civil judgment in the amount of $1126. I made monthly payments of $50 and my last payment of $67.71 was made in Oct 08. I received a call in January 09 stating that I owed an additional $700. I stated that I had paid my debt and ask what he additional funds were for. I was told that records did show that I paid the $1126, but now I owed interest. I told him that nothing was mentioned in the judgment regarding interest. I was then told that I signed a form when agreeing to monthly payments to pay interest. I explained that I never signed any paperwork at all and I did not owe any interest. I said that he could send me a copy of this paper that he supposedly had, but I was not paying any interest. He continue to become more and more aggregated and rude. He said he would just garnish my accounts. Well that is exactly what they have done. If my bank hadn't informed my husband of this, we never would have even known. My husband receives a pension check and Social Security Disability. There is a garnishment on both our checking and saving accounts. I receive $44.62 every other week for work that I do. So, the funds that they withdrew belonged to my husband. I don't know where to go from here, but I do know I plan on taking it somewhere.
