Marcella Digaetano Claims to own debt relief company, Buffalo New York
Wow, where to start.
This lady, it turns out her name is Marcella Digaetano, AKA Marci Digaetano, called me about a old credit card bill that I paid off almost 5 years ago.
She told me that I owed $2,200. I told her it was paid and she explained it wasn't and I was going to be sued the following week. She said the county clerk has all the paperwork and they are just waiting to see if it could be settled out of court.
She offered a "settlement" for $1,700 and I mailed a money order to her(paid to her legal assistant Monica). She then told me she could act on my behalf and represent me for other debts I owed. She said she had a copy of my credit report(is that legal?) and she could settle other debts on there for 50 cents on the dollar.
I agreed and paid off 2 other old bills. I mailed 2 more money orders and waiting for a letter from her showing the balances are $0.I thought I was getting a good deal.
Well, it turns out that none of the bills were paid. I got a call 3 months later from a bill collector about the one bill that I settled for 50 cents on the dollar. I explained this to the rep and they said they didnt get any $ nor were they ever contacted by this marci lady. So I paid the bill again.
I am now trying to contact this marci lady but I cant find her #.
I have found the receipts from the money orders and I will try to get a copy of them so I can see who I sent it to.
I wrote down marci's name and the name of her legal assistant monica on the bill the night I was talking o her all the other info is lost.
