Bait And Switch Rude, Dismissive, Intelligent, Liars Huntington/Stonybrook New York
IRecently purchased a metal and chain for my husband for Fathers Day. I have purchased there in the past when it was Christen Bernard Jewelers and dealt with the store manager, Jake. Jake had to order the necklace for me from a catalogue since it was just christening season and they were sold out. I bought the necklace and was told up front that if he didn't like it we could return the necklace with no problem. I was also admiring a pair of earrings that were aprox 9,000.00 that he said he could give me a good deal on. I went home that night and told my husband about the earrings that I wanted. I went back later that week to pick up the necklace and when Fathers Day came I gave it to him. He did not like it at all, he said it looked like it was for a child and not a man, not to mention the chain was much too thin. I said no problem we would return it.
I went back to the store to find the owner herself would not take back the necklace and would only give me store credit. I told her the manger Jake said I could return the necklace and she then informed me that he was fired for doing exactly that. She did not want to stand by what her manager had promised and I just had to deal with it. The owner also did not care that I was going to purchase these earrings from her store, almost like my business didn't matter to her. I guess business is really great in this recession!!! So I got my earrings from the diamond district instead and Marie Richards Jewelers lost a customer and several thousand dollars in new business this week. I would never recommend going there, they really have no customer relation skills nor do they care about new business. Good luck to Marie Richards in Walt Whitman Mall.

The owner also did not care that I was going to purchase these earrings from her store, almost like my business didn't matter to her. I guess business is really great in this recession!!!
