You can kiss that money good-bye. You have been scammed and there is little if anything you can do about it. There is no ebay protection plan, and its very unfortunate that you fell for this old scam. I wasn't aware that Craigs List and ebay were partners..?? Its a shame you have been had, and you must be more careful in the future.

This is the most basic of Craigslist scams. Lure a greedy individual by offering a car (which doesn't really exist) at well below the market value. Avoid contact by claiming you are far away, but will ship the car for no additional cost (which is absurd. No one does this). Get payment via wire or moneygram (non-traceable). Then disappear. I suggest that the next time you visit Craigslist, you click on "avoid scams & fraud" tab on the main page.
