Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

In March, 2015 we gave Mark Tracy of Mark Tracy Construction a required deposit.  He had emailed his State I.D. along with a bombardment of emails of supposed happy customers.  Once he received the deposit he sent us an outrageous quote more than double of the other companies we interviewed.  Despite trying to work the price down to a reasonable price (because he had our money) he refused.  We eventually asked for our money back.

To date, he has never done any work to warrant keeping our deposit, yet refuses to return it.  It is now the end of April. Mark Tracy refuses to answer or return our phone calls ever since we asked that he return our deposit.  Initially he said that he would refund it in 2-3 weeks.   At this point he chooses to bombard our email with nasty messages all written in caps.

I decided to Google Mark Tracy and found similar complaints on Yelp as well as two complaints on this website.  He uses the same m/o.  One individual on Yelp actually uploaded Mark Tracy's State I.D. (his receipt of downpayment with a proper receipt to follow)...hmm sounds familiar!

It is clear from the nasty emails that this man is disturbed and dangerous.  I have already filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office and they are in the process of investigating the case.  I would encourage anyone looking for someone to remodel their home to avoid doing business with Mark Tracy and Tracy Construction unless you are in the business of giving your money away and enjoy being harrassed once you ask for it back.

My purpose for writing this report is to alert others and hopefully save you from being scammed by Mark Tracy.  I would also encourage anyone who has been scammed by him to file a report with the Attorney General's Office (Better Business Bureau).  It only takes a few minutes to file online or if you prefer, you can call and have it done over the phone.  If enough people complain, the legal action against him will be even more severe as it will not be a first offense.  My goal is to work with the authorities and put him behind bars where he belongs.

In closing I would also like to add that these types of cases are considered civil cases so I would also encourage you to file a small claims case against Mark Tracy of Tracy Construction.  The authorities can only help if you ask.

Regards,
