The whole concept, with thier used car salesman in California, souds great.  I can tell, without reservation, if you can always make your reservation a year in advance there will be limited hickups.  However, for last minute (for Marriott inside of six months in last minute) there is almost zero chance.  I can prove, from personal experience and about $70,000.00 in membership fees, MVC has no intention of honoring "last minute" vacations as promised by Mr. Slick.  I was able, on three occasions, to make a reservation using my money or other credit card reward points for a MVC property AFTER I was told by MVC there was nothing available.  They charge you for the points and instead of using them, you get to pay again to use their property.  

 

For anyone who thinks MVC is a paragon of integrity, I have 7000 MVC points a years that are worth almost as much as ocean front property in Nogales.  And, contrary to what Mr. Slick might tell you, there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE of selling the MVC points back to Marriott for ANY CASH VALUE.
