Mars Fish Care Mars Fishcare, API , RENA, PONDCARE, AQUARIAN, API ALGAE FIX Used their product API ALGAE FIX and it killed all my fishes. Nationwide
I had a severe algae problem I have used the product Algae Fix from API. according to their instructions.
ALL my fish were wiped out.
Now at first I did not catch on to the fact that it was this particular product that did it. I analyzed and thought it could be some peppermint shrimps I placed in the tank.
I replaced the fishes for some other ones and again treated the tank with agae fix. Fishes died. I thought it would be the fishes I bought that were bad. This happened all in my office tank.
Then in my main tank, I in which I had established fishes for over 4 years! These were my pets, my life, my joy. All gone after dosing Api Algae Fix. It is here were I connected the dots and figured that it wasn't anything else but the algae fix that caused this problem.
I am an experienced hobbyist, and even provide service to customers. I did contact API several times. Never managed to get hold of anyone. They tried to call back once, without an extension, so impossible for me to talk to anyone in there. My intentions wasn't to come and talk down a company on the net. I don't believe in that, however, I feel responsible in bringing the word out, so other fish keepers stay way from their products.
This is not a money issue. Its the fact that a company sells chemicals that can hurt live animal, and take their consumer complains lightly. Its animal life we are talking about here.
