I signed up for a membership at massage envy because I wanted to try it and if you aren't a "member" the rates are nearly double. I had a therapist that did a good job and I went twice a month. I had to cancel one month due to an unforseen circumstance; massage envy charges $60 for cancellation with less than 24 hour notice. Securing appointments with the therapist I liked became increasingly difficult.
On a scheduled appointment day, they called me a couple of hours prior to my appointment to cancel because something came up with the therapist. I inquired if I would then get a $60 credit since when I cancelled they charged me $60 and now they were doing the same. The answer was no, even after speaking to the manager.
I couldn't get appointments anymore with my therapist, because she was good, and her availablity steadily decreased. I tried two other therapists, but the quality was poor and I was highly unsatisfied. I elected to "pause" my membership.
The pause time has ended and I want to cancel my membership but was told in person and on the phone that I cannot do so, despite the poor treatment and quality of service I received at the establishment.
I do not ever wish to patronize any massage envy and would advise to anyone who asked me to do the same. I just want to end this.
